Next “Radio Treasures” on Tuesday 10th July from 9:30 until 11:00pm

There is no transmission of “Radio Treasures” on Tuesday 3rd July on www.corkmusicstation.com.   Broadcasts will resume on Tues., 10th July at 9:30pm when we shall feature lots of superb music and song as well as interesting interviews at 10:00pm.  We shall be referring also to recent events such as the recent Circuit of Ireland Rally Stages Revisited where lots of Ford Escorts appeared (as illustrated below) and we shall chat about the June presentation by Joe Kennelly at Millstreet Gramophone Circle (also illustrated here).   The next Gramophone Circle presentation takes place on our national Culture Night on 21st September and will be given by Maurice Linehan.  Click on the images to enlarge.  (S.R.)

Rescheduled “Radio Treasures” on Cork Music Station Thursday from 9:00 to 11:00pm

Due to the fact that Broadband Coverage was not available in our Millstreet Studio last night (Tuesday) we were not able to broadcast “Radio Treasures” as scheduled.  William Fitzgerald kindly transmitted his own Thursday Show instead.   Consequently “Radio Treasures” will this week be broadcast this Thursday (25th Jan. 2018) from 9 to 11pm (an extra half-hour bonus!)…Seán R.

Tomorrow (Thursday, 25th Jan. 2018)….We feature the very best of music and song  and we have a selection of musings of a wide and interesting variety.  We reflect on last Friday’s Millstreet Gramophone Circle and on Sunday’s Vintage Event.  We talk about Killarney House which has recently been superbly renovated.

Millstreet Vintage Club Vintage and Family Fun Day an Outstanding Success.

Millstreet Vintage Club and Cancer Connect would like to thank Everybody that came out to Support our Show on Sunday last. The Show which was thankfully Blessed with fine weather was an outstanding success with great support on the the day, over 150 vehicles were on display and to all the people that brought out there beautiful exhibits from both near and far. We thank each and every one of you for making the journey, to all the club members who helped out and worked very hard both on the lead up to the event and on the day itself many many thanks. To everybody that helped in anyway no matter how big or small we thank you all very much, to Millstreet GAA, the Town Park Committee, and Millstreet Soccer Club we are most grateful for the use of a top class venue and facilities, without your help and support the event would not have been the success that it was. A very big thank you to all our very generous sponsors who very kindly donated great prizes for our draw. To Sgt. Paul Lynch and his team, we thank them very much for keeping traffic flow and parking facilities running like clockwork, to the Millstreet Fire Brigade Crew for providing us with their time and for giving an insight into the skills and dedication of their challenging job, to the Broomhill Tractor Build Team for bringing their Championship Winning Tractor Build to the Show, to the Millstreet Pipe Band, and to Danny and Pat of Back on Track for providing great Music and Entertainment. To all the People who turned up with exhibits, food stalls, entertainment for the kids etc, to the media who did a great job in getting the word out there, including John Tarrant of The Corkman, C103 Mallow, Millstreet.ie Website, Corkmusicstation, Seán Radley, Willie Fitzgerald, LTV2, Eily Buckley, Andrew Pollock and Team of Irish Vintage Scene, Tom Corbett and Matthew Twomey. Our next “Radio Treasures” on Internet Radio Cork Music Station will be broadcast on American Independence Day – Tuesday 4th July 2017 from 9:30 to 11:00pm.   Since we’ve now commenced transmitting on Internet Radio we note an increasing number of new Listeners.  Much of this is because it is now much easier to access our Local Radio Station (broadcast globally) once one has an Internet Radio.  A reminder of the steps to follow to access:

It is indeed a true milestone for Cork Music Station to have been launched from today (20th June 2017) on Internet Radio.  Up to now we were an online radio station accessed mainly through computer, ipad and phone.  All this will continue but now we are being broadcast on Internet Radio worldwide.   To discover this on your Internet Radio just go to Menu.  Look for Stations…Local Ireland….Country and that is where Cork Music Station is available as clear as could be worldwide.   Save the station on a particular number and that allows one to immediately turn on the station whenever one wishes by just pressing the chosen button number.   Cork Music Station is a 24/7 Station with the very best Country and Western plus Irish music and song.   Delighted to be involved with “Radio Treasures” on Tuesdays from 9:30 to 11:00pm.  Happy Listening!  (S.R.)

Conor from Donoughmore is one of the chief coordinators of this magnificent world equestrian event.
