Fair play to all that braved the Mushera Mountain Climb on this wet and windy Christmas morning, in aid of our local Reach Out Cancer Support. Not for the faint heartded as the rain was horizontal on top of the mountain, but here’s a few of those that went up:
There was no hanging around at the top, and only this small group was there when we arrived Clara and Ainsey were collecting donations for ROCS at the start of the climbJohn Dineen, John Twomey, Darragh Twomey and Michael O’Riordan were having a break in some shelter
Michelle and her greyhound. He wasn’t liking the weather!
On Friday, 23rd Dec. 2016 we went on a brief tour of Millstreet Town so as to share glimpses of the countdown to Christmas. We got to meet Niall O’Connor and Joe Fitzgerald at Supervalu and we met Sgt. Paul Lynch on duty. Fr. Jim Kennelly was visiting his native Millstreet. We share the many colourful scenes in Minor Row, The Square, Main Street, Church Street, The Bridge and West End. We’ve lots more to share in an upcoming feature but we hope that you will now enjoy almost 90 images of Christmas 2016 in our native hometown. We view the first six here and then continue with the main feature where you will be able to see them enlarged when you click on the various pictures. Happy Viewing and a very Happy Christmas to All. (S.R.)And now we continue with over 80 Christmas views of Millstreet. [read more …] “A Christmas Tour of Millstreet Town 2016”

Great credit and a special thanks must go to all the volunteers who were back out all around the town on Monday and Friday evenings last week, putting all the Christmas Lights back in place, and making Millstreet feel like Christmas for the coming season. Also a special note of thanks to Millstreet Country Park who have donated our wonderful Christmas Tree once again. Some photos from the evening are below, but a few helper elves got away without being photographed ! – from the Millstreet Lights Committee
