Storyteller Supreme Diarmuid Cronin First at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2017

Diarmuid Cronin of Laught, Rathcoole who achieved First Place in the recent All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil Under-15 Storytelling Competition in Ennis, Co. Clare. Diarmuid’s late Grandparents – Diarmuid and Nora Creedon would have been so very proud of such an excellent achievement. Sincere congratulations to Storyteller Supreme Diarmuid and indeed to the many local wonderfully talented young people who were so successful in the prestigious national event. The Path to 1916 at Bruach Na Carraige Rockchapel on Friday at 8:30pm

As part of the IRD Duhallow Bealtaine Festival Rockchapel Comhaltas based group Ceoltóirí Sliabh Luachra will present a new show of music song and dance entitled “The Path to 1916” in Bruach Na Carraige on Friday 27th May starting at 8.30 pm. This show is supported by Cork County Council.

The annual Summer Camp for children between 6 and 15 years will take place from the 4th to 15th July

and the Summer School of master classes in traditional music and traditional step dancing will be on the 27th 28th and 29th July.   We thank Jack Roche for these important alerts to such wonderful Traditional events.  (S.R.)
