Dia is mhuire diobh go leir a cairde and welcome to News report 1154 from Millstreet .

Fondest greetings dear listeners and I wish you all the very best on this rather cold but seasonal Tuesday morning.

The banners were still up at the Bush Bar on Sunday night following to gala celebrations for Brendan O Sullivan who won a Bronze Medal at the Special Olympics in South Korea recently. And Brendan would like to say thanks to the organisers, especially Humphrey Hickey, Brian O Leary, DJ Sheehan , and John Crean to mention just a few. And again well done Brendan.

The Funeral took place here on Friday last of our beloved Sr. Celestine, who was 94. There was a very large gathering at her funeral Mass and she was laid to rest in the Convent buriel grounds at the back of the Church. And she will be the last nun to be interred there.

Afterwords a beautiful meal was served at the Parish Centre, by the renowned Denis Doody of Kingdom caterers. [read more …] “Regional Report 1154 – 13th February 2013″
