Programme 223 which was broadcast last night Thursday 28 November is now online. You can now watch our Third Programme of the New Season right here at millstreet.ie or on the LTV2 Facebook Page and… this Programme will be repeated next Sunday Evening December 1 at 8.00pm

Regional Report 1194 – 26th November 2013

eily1

by

Eily Buckley

Dia is mhuire diobh go leir a Cairde and welcome to News Report 1194 from Millstreet. Fondest greetings dear listeners and I wish you all the very best on this cold and seasonal Tuesday morning.

It’s a sad one in Millstreet as we mourn the untimely passing  of Sheila Sherlock. That angelic lady who worked tirelessly for all those around her. Our sincere sympathy goes out to her daughters Anita and Catherine, her son Derry and her sister,Mary Dennehy, her employer Michael Moynighan TD, all the personel at her beloved Glen Theatre, our St.Vincent de Paul, and all the countless groups and committees that she was part of. May  her gentle soul rest in Peace. May she now reap the reward in Heaven, for which she toiled.

The Mass in our Church on Thursday last in honour of Nano Nagle was beautiful. Great crowds turned out to pay homage to her. The Children from our National Schools attended and their beautiful singing and music filled the air.

On Saturday night the Vigil Mass was said for all those people of the parish who passed away in 2013. The Parish Choir attended and a great crowd came to take part.
