An information meeting on the Stability Treaty will be held on

Tuesday 15th May at 8.30pm in the Wallis Arms Hotel, Millstreet.

Áine Collins TD will chair the meeting and there will be speakers from different sectors of the community.

Millstreet Vintage Club are holding a car & tractor run on next Sunday next April 29th starting @ 12.30 from the Wallis Arms Hotel.

The club draw will take place after the runs finish that evening in the Wallis Arms Hotel.

Special Guests at the Wallis Arms night club on Saturday night last (Easter Saturday) were the stunning Miss World 2003 Rosanna Davison and Miss Universe Ireland 2010 Roz Purcell, where they pulled a few pints, mixed with and had  photos taken the locals, while Roz also played DJ for a while.

HSE RRV

There is a important meeting next Thursday March 15th at 5pm in the Wallis Arms Hotel to discuss the proposed cut to her ambulance service in Millstreet – from Cllr. Noel Buckley.

Word is that the HSE are looking to get rid of the Millstreet Ambulance (and possibly the Kanturk Ambulance also), and replace it with a Rapid Response Vehicle (RRV). It’s up to you to get to the meeting and find out what’s really happening.

Áine Collins TD has organised A Community Forum which will be held in the Wallis Arms Hotel on Monday 5th March 2012 at 7.30pm.  IRD will also do a short presentation on available funding on the night.
Representatives from all Community Organisation are welcome.

Following twenty years of superbly dedicated service at Millstreet Garda Station, Sheila McCarthy (seated centre) was accorded much richly deserved praise tonight (23/02/2012) at a very pleasant function in the Wallis Arms Hotel in the presence of her work colleagues and family members. Sheila was presented with a magnificent lamp and a beautiful floral bouquet. Every blessing and happiness to the very popular Sheila on her retirement. (S.R.) Thanks to everyone for supporting the club yesrterday in the annual St.Johns Football Club poker tournament. Seventy four players attended to make it a great success.
After a tough game which lasted 10 hours well done to Ronan Murphy who took first prize on the night.

The Irish Farmers Association President John Bryan will visit Millstreet tomorrow night (Thursday 26th January), when he addresses a Duhallow IFA meeting in the Wallis Arms Hotel at 8:30pm. The meeting will discuss current farming issues, the Common Agriculture Policy 2014 negotiations, and land reclamation. All are welcome.
