Just one of the many beautiful features in place at St. Patrick's Church, Millstreet for tomorrow's First Holy Communion Ceremony at 11.00 a.m. (19/05/2012). Great credit is due to the teachers and all those who carried out such splendid preparations. We wish the many children a very happy day on such a very special occasion in their lives. (S.R.)

Pictured in one of the three specially designed huts - some of the 34 Transition Year Students from Millstreet Community School beginning their 12 hour Sleep Out in aid of Trócaire on the grounds of St. Patrick's Church, Millstreet on Monday, 26th March 2012 at 7.00 p.m.. Also included is School Chaplain, John Magee. Sincere congratulations to the Students and their Teachers on being such a wonderful source of inspiration to so many. The generous support of the public for the very praiseworthy project was hugely encouraging to the Students. (S.R.)

The magnificent playing of Millstreet Pipe Band in St. Patrick's Church on St. Patrick's Day 2012 was such a wonderful memorable experience for the congregation. Following a very fine recital in the Church Grounds the Band then left for the Killarney Parade returning later for the Millstreet Parade. (S.R.)

Some of the many members of the Class Reunion Group of 1976-1981 of Millstreet Community School following Mass on 16th March at St. Patrick's Church where five deceased members of those years were especially remembered. The superb reception at the Wallis Arms Hotel followed and we shall be featuring this within the next 24 hours. Great credit is due to the main coordinators - Noreen Meaney (6th from left) and Kathleen Hartigan (4th from left) for organising such a wonderfully successful reunion. (S.R.)

Progress very much in evidence regarding the magnificent painting project currently being carried out by the Forde Family & Staff at St. Patrick's Church, Millstreet. Weekday Masses are presently being celebrated in the Parish Centre while the scaffold is in place at the centre aisle of the Church.

Fr. John Fitzgerald, P.P. on behalf of the Millstreet Church Restoration Committee thanks Michael Healy representing Millstreet Vintage Club for having sponsored the prizes of the Millstreet Parish Capital Fund Draw which took place this evening in the Wallis Arms Hotel and which realised in excess of €8,000.00 for the Fund.
