On this Good Shepherd Sunday (21st April 2013) we view what's happening  outside and inside St. Patrick's Church, Millstreet.   Millstreet Athletic Club had its annual church gate collection while after Mass family and friends met to welcome international visitors to the area - Noreen Fitzpatrick from California (originally from Cullen) and Gun from Sweden now residing in California.  Meanwhile we had Day Two of Millstreet Walking Festival at Millstreet Country Park which we shall feature in a pictorial review later.   (S.R.)

Millstreet Athletic Club had its annual church gate collection while after Mass family and friends met to welcome international visitors to the area – Noreen Fitzpatrick (2nd adult from left) from California (originally from Cullen) and Gun (4th adult from left) from Sweden now residing in California. large numbers of people attended this Sunday's impressive Divine Mercy ceremony at St. Patrick's Church, Millstreet where the celebrant was Fr. Seán Tucker and Bishop Tim Carroll heard Confessions.   At the conclusion of the ceremony many went up to the altar to touch the framed image of Divine Mercy.  Fr. Tucker thanked all who made the event such a success including the organist, the singers and those who participated in the ceremony and who had prepared the beautifully adorned altar for the annual occasion. The wonderfully harmonic and uplifting Millstreet Singers under the marvellous direction of Marie Twomey (first from left) truly impressed the congregation at the 6.30 pm Mass in St. Patrick's Church, Millstreet where the Celebrant was Fr. James McSweeney.   Margaret Dennehy was the superb organist.  (S.R.)

We at millstreet.ie would like to take this chance to wish you and yours a very happy, peaceful and enjoyable Christmas, where ever you are, and to thank you for checking out what’s happening in Millstreet over the last year. If you’re here in Millstreet, or away from home you can listen below to the wonderful Millstreet Church Choir singing “Joy to the World” at the end of the Christmas Vigil mass tonight (turn it up!)


Cllr. Noel Buckley addresses the large congregation at the end of the Mass of Thanksgiving for the Presentation Sisters in St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet on 20th Nov. 2012.   Great credit is due to the Presentation N.S. on the coordination of a very special liturgy during the special Mass.   We shall upload a full feature at a later point.   Sr. Mercedes and Sr. Noreen were very especially remembered in many tributes.    We wish both Sisters every fulfilment and happiness as they leave Millstreet for Co. Kerry where they will continue to carry the lantern of Nano Nagle doing good for so many as always .   The Presentation Order has been in Millstreet for the past 172 years.   (S.R.)

The wonderfully inspiring Teen Spirit Concert in progress at St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet on Wednesday, 7th November. The very talented participants came for the entire Pastoral area including Dromtariffe, Rathmore, Boherbue, Ballydesmond and Millstreet. (S.R.)

The very special Sacred Space in St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet with its November Garden remembering the Holy Souls.  

The thirty-five people who from Millstreet Parish went to their Eternal Reward within the past year are especially remembered in the November Garden.   May they all rest in peace.

The magnificent setting in St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet on the final night of the Parish Mission when Mass for the Holy Souls was concelebrated before a capacity congregation. Enthusiastic applause was accorded to Fr. Dan and Fr. Brian for having conducted such a very successful Mission supported by a very dedicated Millstreet team also.  (S.R.)
