Millstreet Vintage Club are delighted to be associated with the Culture Night in Millstreet which will be held on this coming Friday Sept 21st,the Vintage Club will put on a Display of Vintage Equipment Cars Tractors etc for the Evening and there are plenty Exhibits and Activities planned around the Town as well for the Culture Night itself,do support this Event and its all for Free.
Millstreet Vintage Club and CART Carriganima wish to thank everyone for there support today on the Tractor Run,the weather was superb on the day and some 60 Tractors took to the road and conveyed through what was a lovely Route which made its way back to the finish at The Pub in Carriganima where some Refreshments were enjoyed by all,again many thanks from CART Carriganima and Millstreet Vintage Clubfor the great turn out and support on the day,it is very much appreciated. On Friday Night last Millstreet Vintage Club made a Presentation at the K and L Premises in Millstreet of 4,055 Euro into the Jacob Nowak Trust which was the Proceeds of the Vintage Clubs recent Charity Truck Run,Jacob who was Born without Eyes suffers from an exceptionally rare condition called Anophthalmia whereby his eyes never formed in their sockets before his birth,the Family of Jacob were humbled by the Fantastic response and generosity of the People of Millstreet and Surrounding Area and Jacobs Father Mariusz Nowak who was present on the Night of the Presentation thanked Millstreet Vintage Club for Organising the Truck Run and said that the Proceeds made from the Event will play a big part in making life a lot easier for Jacob,Mikey P Kelleher who headed up the Millstreet Vintage Club Organising Team that ran the Charity Truck Run was delighted with the success of the Event and thanked the generosity of all the People that supported the cause and to Everybody that helped to make the Truck Run happen and wished Jacob and the Nowak Family all the best for the future, Many thanks to Tom Corbett and Sean Radley for taking Photos of the Presentaion and to K and L for the use of there Premises to make the Presentaion on the Night.

The Truck Run for Jacob was a fantastic Success last Sunday. 80 Trucks took part on the day, here is a note of thanks from Mike P. Kelleher of Millstreet Vintage Club who headed up the Organising Team for the Truck Run.
Hi all just a note to say thanks to everyone that took part in the Truck Run on Sunday last, a big thank you to the Truck Drivers and Business`s that supported the run. Thanks to the Bikers for their marshalling, thanks to Tony O’Brien for the bar-b-que, thanks to TMC for covering the day, thanks to Yanis Photo for the pictures, thanks to John for the teas and coffees, thanks to all in the Club that helped out, thanks to the Garda Siochana for helping the event run smoothly, thanks to John Tarrant of the Corkman and C103 for getting the word out there and last but not least thanks to Gordon O Keeffe and Breeda O Keeffe K&L deliveries for the use of their premises, without it the run would not have been possible. Millstreet Vintage Club and Event Organiser Donie Lucey would like to thank everyone that took part in the Circuit of Ireland Stages Revisited Run on Sunday last,the Event was an outstanding success with 80 Cars taking part,proceedings got underway from Millstreet just after 12 Noon from where the Cars made there way through some Classic Circuit of Ireland Stages like Gortnagane,Molls Gap, Ballaghbeama and Caragh Lake which were all used on the Circuit back in 1968,the Event was a Celebration of the Ford Escorts 50th Birthday and its first International Rally win over these actual stages 50 years ago,favorable Weather conditions made for a most beautiful drive through the Scenic Cork/Kerry Countryside,before the Event began Documentation and Event Sign On was completed at the Wallis Arms Hotel in Millstreet with the Event finishing back at the Torc Hotel in Killarney by 6pm where proceedings were concluded after a well earned Meal following a busy day of driving,big thanks must go out to the Marshals/Bike Marshals and An Garda Siochana who kept the Event flowing smoothly,also thanks to all the people helping out at Event Sign On,and to the Wallis Arms Hotel and Torc Hotel for the use of there facilities,Millstreet Vintage Club hope everybody enjoyed the Run and look forward to seeing ye all again very soon.

Broadcasts will resume on Tues., 10th July at 9:30pm when we shall feature lots of superb music and song as well as interesting interviews at 10:00pm. Millstreet Vintage Club held a most highly successful Car Run and Barbeque on Saturday Evening last,on what was a spectacularly Sunny Summers Evening the 40km Car Run started out from Millstreet at 7.00 pm and travelled firstly down through the lovely Grounds of Drishane Castle and from there moved on to some scenic countryside as it made its way up to Knocknakilla, and then over to Saint John’s Well where there was a short stop,from here it headed on to The Kerryman’s Table and on over to Kilcorney and from there made its way to the Eagle’s Nest where another brief stop was had in stunning countryside with the Run finally winding its way on to the Event finish at Moll Carthy’s Bridge Bar where a lovely Barbeque and some refreshments was enjoyed by all.The perfect weather made for a most pleasent journey which was well received by everyone who took part.

Millstreet Vintage Club held a Highly Successful Spring Car Run on Sunday last, with 35 fabalous Cars taking part the Event was blessed with great Weather along the way, the Cars left Millstreet just after 12 noon and made there way over the County Bounds through Rathmore, Barraduff, Glenflesk, and then back over the Border into Co.Cork again with a stop at The Abbey Hotel in Ballyvourney for some refreshments, from there the Cars continued on into Macroom, then on to the Ballinagree Road, before heading up for Mushera, and from there winding down past Knocknakilla Stone Circle, and on into the finish in Millstreet, where everyone adjourned for a Meal in the Wallis Arms Hotel. The Run was well received and enjoyed by everyone that took part and both Denis O’Flynn and Bernard Crowley who organised the Event want to thank all the People that participated and supported the Run on the day and to Everyone that helped out with Marshalling, Registration etc., many thanks for your help. Also, we wish to thank the Photographers and Media People for covering the Run and to both The Wallis Arms Hotel Millstreet and the Abbey Hotel in Ballyvourney for the use of there Premises and there Hospitality, without all your help and support the day would not have been the success that it was.

The Cars Coffee Chat Morning held by Millstreet Vintage Club on Sunday Morning last was an outstanding success. Close on 20 Vintage and Classic Cars converged on the Town on what was a wet morning where the Group met up at Cafe Aroma for some refreshments and a most enjoyable chat. Millstreet Vintage Club would like to thank all the Car Enthusiasts who turned up on the morning, with some travelling long distances, and also the Club would like to thank Noreen of Café Aroma for supplying a great Venue and Hospitality, and also to Sean Radley, Tom Corbett, and John Tarrant, for taking time out to take photos of the proceedings. Over half the cars on display were Ford Escorts of various ages in what was a celebration of the 50th birthday of a very famous car. Below are a couple of images from the event itself:
