Credit Unions at the Heart of Every Community
Friendly, personable, and face-to-face: it’s what members know and love most about their credit union. Credit unions offer a range of services to their members. Lately, there has been a huge increase in members requiring online and phone banking facilities, so Mallow Credit Union: Millstreet has been investing in improving its existing services. More members can now transfer money and apply for loans online, via email – so they can bank on the go, or from the comfort of their home. The next phase will include a new mobile app and Current Account, with a Mastercard debit card. (due later 2021)
With the unfortunate closure of 103 Bank of Ireland branches across the island of Ireland, we are once again reminded of the important role of the credit union sector. Credit unions, as established financially inclusive cooperatives, exist solely to meet the needs of their members.
Bank customers can very quickly become members of Mallow Credit Union:Millstreet to avail of the range of services available. So, whether you’ve never been a member, or it’s been a while, we’re inviting you to become part of our story!

DOG TRAINER & BEHAVIOURIST
During the pandemic, I’m changing the way I interact with clients. Most people love touching my products, as wood is a very tactile medium. In the absence of markets, I propose that prospective clients contact me for a video chat appointment. In this way, you may see the piece that interests you from any angle you wish, and ask me any questions about it.
Have a look at what is currently available in my shop and send me a message with the date and time of your availability, and I will respond in kind.

Many families will face impossible choices this Christmas and requests from families to SVP are expected to exceed 160,000 this year. It’s been a difficult year for St Vincent de Paul too, whose traditional fundraising efforts have been thrown into chaos with their SVP shops closed for so long and collections interrupted.
The board of Management at Mallow Credit Union felt that their annual Christmas donation to the SVP was more important than ever and wanted to show their support to the tireless efforts of the SVP. It was agreed to support the SVP groups within Mallow Credit Union’s Common Bond, with a total of €5,000 being donated across North Cork & West Limerick.
Tomas O Neill, CEO of Mallow Credit Union said “We have a long-standing relationship with the Saint Vincent de Paul in our areas and see just how much of a positive impact they have to the lives of families in our community each year. We are grateful to be able to continue to support their fundraising efforts this year and would like to wish all the SVP staff and volunteers a happy Christmas & peaceful New Year.”
