We’ve had a request from a loyal Millstreet website visitor – This person would very much appreciate it if a DOS Computer was available by anyone. This would be a pre-1995 Computer before the Windows format. To operate equipment which this person wishes to use it’s necessary to have a DOS (Direct Operating System –I think it means) type Computer which is not as fast as the later Windows format. If you feel you may be able to help in the provision of this Computer please get in touch with us here at the Millstreet website or email millstreetmuseum @eircom.net – Many thanks. (S.R.)

Marie Griffin, and her MonsterMAC team of organisers, are unfortunately no longer in a position to manage the event www.monstermac.ie. Many thanks to everyone who kindly supported last weekend’s Church gate Collection in Millstreet in aid of Millstreet Museum/Tourist Information Centre and the Millstreet Website. The amount collected was €1,884.88. This money will cover the two annual costings relating to our Millstreet Website and it will also assist in the very costly restoration programme at our Museum Centre in Carnegie Hall as well as partly fund the ongoing costs of insurance, lighting, heating and communications. (S.R.)
This dog has been here almost two weeks. He is wearing a red collar and has a very short twine which appears chewed. He is quite friendly. They can’t keep him as they already have another dog. If the dog’s owner does not come forward he will be delighted with a good home. Please contact 087 2479333.
We are presently experiencing difficulties in uploading a number of new posts on to our website. This is possibly due to the extraordinary warm weather conditions which seem to be having an effect on our broadband connections. This is outside our control and we hope that usual reception will be restored soon again. Apologies for the delay in sharing lots of interesting new updates. (S.R.)
THREE 5 MONTH OLD TERRIER CROSS PUPS FREE TO LOVING HOMES. I’ve found homes for 3, but have had no luck with the remainder. There’s 1 boy and 2 girls – they’re almost completely black, small, very cute, clever and playful, are showing signs of making good hunters like their mother. I hate to let them go, but can’t afford to keep them as I have the mother and another dog already. They’re vaccinated and wormed and ready for a new home. Thanks for taking time to read this.
