After seven weeks of Millstreet Celtic’s Last Man Standing Competition, they are down to the last 2 players: Colin Healy & Eamonn McCaul, after Brendan Dore and Siobhain Kelleher were knocked out at the weekend.
Also, they will be starting a new competition Saturday week (17th Dec) and any new players are welcome to participate. Tickets are available from any Millstreet Celtic squad member and also at various locations around the town.
It wouldn’t be Christmas without our legendary Santa Night! For those of you who have not joined us for this yet, you’ll be delighted to know that we are actually joined by the REAL Santa. No fake-bearded imposters at The Secret Garden! Again, there’s no charge, complimentary mulled wine and a general festive and feel-good evening with more fairy lights than you can shake a stick at.
We shall also have a Christmas Market (undercover) so a chance to buy local crafts including handmade soap, candles and jewellery.

Rathmore’s Marian Players will mark their 25th anniversary early in 2012 with a colourful adaptation of Cinderella. On hand to launch the Players’ 25th anniversary in Teach Iosagáin was Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht Jimmy Deenihan TD. Millstreet Shopping Promotion will be running from Nov 17th to 26th. I addition to special offers and discounts run by individual shops, all shoppers will be entered in to a draw for €1,500 worth of shopping vouchers. The draw will take place at the “turning on the lights” ceremony on the 26th November at 7.30 after mass. The lights will be turned on by Joanne O Riordan, recent recipiant of a West Cork Garda youth award and Councillor Noel Buckley.
Millstreet Macra’s November club meeting will take place this Saturday, 12th November, in the Pub, Carriganimma at 8.00 p.m. It will be followed by a club night out in the same venue with drinks and food from 9.00 p.m. and we will be joined by members from our newest – and closest – Muskerry club, Aghinagh Macra.
