A very impressive “Meet & Greet” Gathering in advance of the National and International Sheep Shearing and Woolhandling Championships at Green Glens on Sat./Sun. 25th & 26th May 2013 was held in the Wallis Arms Hotel on Friday, 10th May. Members of LTV2 Millstreet continue to meet on a weekly basis at their Mount Leader base to plan for improved television signal for Local Television. A brief indication of this week’s programme on LTV2. It’s the first programme of our new season. Programme 213 includes a welcome back from the LTV2 team, scenes of the recent visit of a very impressive Air Ambulance to Millstreet Town Park and a special recording of music and dance at the White Gates Hotel in Killarney with musicians supreme Jerry McCarthy and Liam Healy of “Autumn Fire” who play every Monday night at that very popular venue. Programme 213 will be available on www.millstreet.ie and on television from Thursday, 13th Dec. at 10.00 p.m. on UHF Channel 48. Our picture shows Brendan M. and Jerry O’R. anchoring tonight’s programme in the LTV2 Millstreet Studio. Below are two images kindly made available by Justin Black of “Justborn Photography”, West End, Millstreet – of the recent visit of the Air Ambulance to Millstreet Town Park footage of which appears in tonight’s programme. The wonderfully inspiring Teen Spirit Concert in progress at St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet on Wednesday, 7th November. The very talented participants came for the entire Pastoral area including Dromtariffe, Rathmore, Boherbue, Ballydesmond and Millstreet. (S.R.)

Attending the hugely successful official launch of Annmarie O’Riordan’s new CD “The Joys of My Heart” at Killarney Heights Hotel on Friday, 26th Oct. 2012 – from left: P.J. Murrihy, Eileen and Annmarie O’Riordan, Donncha Ó Dúlaing and Humphrey O’Riordan. Lots more pictures to follow in a future feature. The Bands, Singers and Dancers on the unforgettable night were magnificent. William Fitzgerald and I recorded the splendid occasion highlights of which will later feature on LTV2 Millstreet online which include an interview with Donncha, P.J. and Annmarie. (S.R.)
Supreme Gentleman, Jackie (The Farmer) O'Sullivan who celebrated his 100th Birthday on 5th April 2012 kindly permits Seán Murphy to sit in Jackie's favourite rocking chair beside the wonderfully welcoming warm open fire. Also included (from left) - Matthew Neville and Richie Fitzgerald. LTV2 visited Jackie in his home near Killarney this evening (Sunday, 22nd April 2012) to record a special interview for the final programme in the current season of LTV2 Millstreet. We were accorded a truly royal welcome by the very friendly, so generous and remarkably interesting Jackie where we also got to meet his very talented dog who almost stood up to greet us! Do look out for our must-see interview with Jackie when it will appear on our Ltv2 Channel later this week. (S.R.)

Seán Radley’s appearance on the Late Late Show last Friday night with his backroom staff (see photo right), has people wondering if the LTV2 anchor man will be leaving the station and heading to RTÉ. Following his recent freelance work for the station at President Higgin’s inauguration, it seems that RTÉ are now trying to lure him away, when they gave him and his backroom staff tickets to last Friday’s Late Late Show, showed them around their studios, and gave them top hotel accomodation in Dublin over the weekend.
RTÉ have declined to comment, but did say that they were looking for someone with lots of interview experience to take on the Late Late, as it appears that Ryan Tubridy was leaving for the BBC in the continue reading…
