Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin is Ireland’s largest pediatric
hospital in Ireland who care for children from all the country. Every year they
care for an average of over 30,000 emergency cases, plus over 17,000 day cases, nearly
10,000 inpatients, close to 75,000 outpatients and they perform over 10,000
surgical procedures in any given year. Monies collected during the Christmas Open House will go towards the benefit of the patients and their families, in the supplying of the most modern and up-to-date state of the art equipment and making life changing procedures benefit the patients.

Friends of Bandon Community Hospital, is the main fundraising body for Bandon Community Hospital. In the early 1990’s a group of dedicated volunteers came together to form The Friends, who’s objective is to act as a conduit between the hospital and the community it serves through fundraising while also helping others fundraise, thereby enhancing the quality of life of residents of the hospital. The residents come from a wide catchment area surrounding Bandon.

As part of this redevelopment of the Hospital, The Friends have undertaken the task of raising funds for the construction of a State-of-the-Art Dayroom to be located at the front of the building where it will best serve the needs of residents and their families. The need for fundraising has never been as necessary as it is right now. Community participation is essential to achieve this goal. Construction works commenced earlier this year on the major redevelopment of Bandon Community Hospital. This will involve complete restructuring of existing accommodation and facilities.

We would be delighted if you and your friends would come and see this magical oasis in Killumney, while benefiting two worthy causes.
