Cian O'Mahony and Deirdre O'Sullivan pictured on their Wonderful Wedding Day. The Church Ceremony was in Derrinagree while the reception was held at the Malton Hotel, Killarney.

Here we share, with the permission of the Happy Couple, a selection of images recalling the exquisite occasion.   Millstreet Church Choir provided the superb music for the Church ceremony while at the reception in the  Malton Hotel, Killarney it was ”The Kelt” (Connie, Tom and Pat) who were the Band providing the songs and music followed by the Disco with Mark.   The Christmas setting in both the Church and hotel was beautiful.    We wish Deirdre and Cian every happiness and fulfilment in the years ahead.  (S.R.)

With the kind permission of the Happy Couple, Julie & David, we share the first part of a very wonderful Wedding Day.   The professional photographer on the day was Ian Cronin assisted by Trevor while the professional videographers were William & Ita Fitzgerald.   Here we feature our own alternative images of the day for our loyal website community.   Undoubtedly, the professional shots will capture the true magic of the day but we hope you also enjoy our version.  Lots more images to follow in coming days.   Our first part concentrates on the arrival of the beautiful Bride piped into the Churchyard by musician supreme, Anthony Forde.   The main Concelebrant of the Mass was Fr. Joe Tarrant assisted by Canon John Fitzgerald, P.P. and Fr. Paddy O’Byrne.   Emer & Tadhg Twomey and their Group provided magnificent singing and music in the Church.   As First Cousin of Julie’s Dad, the late Neily O’Leary,  I was given the privilege of delivering a poem at the beginning of Mass composed by Julie in memory of her Dad.  (S.R.)

Kate and William to wed in Kilcorney

While Kate Middleton was getting pampered in preparation for her wedding yesterday, bride-to-be Kate Buckley from Kilcorney in Cork was spending the eve of her big day making sure her dairy cows were milked, fed and happy before taking care of herself.
“I was supposed to get my nails done on Tuesday but it didn’t happen,” explained bride-to-be Kate.
Kate said they got engaged last year around August, and the royal couple announced their engagement a short time after.
Meanwhile, Kate’s fiance and fellow dairy farmer William Casey, from Berrings, was also spending the day farming with his father in Inniscarra.
“Our friends and relatives were sending messages and paper clippings of the royal engagement for a joke, and our relations kept saying I hope they don’t pick the same wedding date as you — so it was a shock when we discovered they were to marry the day after us, on the April 29. We were making jokes that they couldn’t pick April 28 because that was mine and William’s day.”

… and while most of  us know her as Catherine, Kate will do just fine. Hope they have a wonderful day … they have super weather for it too.
