Spring Farm Machinery Show 2012

This years Spring Farm Machinery Show has been changed to a two day show. Whilst attendance figures were excellent last year, exhibitors have expressed there thoughts on making it a busy two day show rather than three. With this in mind veteran farm show promoters AJS have changed the dates to the 18th and 19th of January and all stands are truly sold out. All the leading tractor and machinery dealerships in the area have already booked their stands and are looking forward to good kick off for 2012. This show is an ideal opportunity for both farmers and contractors alike to view the latest innovations in the agricultural and associated industries all under one venue.

So if you want to know whats new in the farming industry, whether you are looking for the right equipment for the busy season ahead or just wish to browse and admire the huge range of machinery available then this show welcomes you. Blackwater Swim 2012 – Wonderfully Successful

The superbly energetic and splendidly courageous participants pictured this noontime today, 8th January (birthday of Elvis...and of quite a few local people!) at the Boeing following their Swim in the River Blackwater on behalf of the Cork North West Branch of MS.

Having had to be deferred from last Sunday due to significantly high water level at the River Blackwater the now annual Swim at the Boeing took place at 12.30 p.m. .    And what a tremendously cheerful and spirited occasion it was covered by John Tarrant for the Press and by William, Ita and Brendan for LTV2 Millstreet (likely to be transmitted this week on LTV2).   The Organisers must certainly take a bow not only for the overall coordination of the event but for [read more …] “Blackwater Swim 2012 – Wonderfully Successful”

We thank Fergal in Australia (son of Noel & Eileen) for alerting us to Noel’s special birthday.   Noel celebrated his 60th Birthday in Sydney, Australia.  ” For the past 70 years,” says Noel,  “I have only received  presents for one occasion – my Christmas and Birthday presents always coincided!”  Now we realise why Noel is called Noel – his birthday could not be closer [read more …] “Noel’s 70th Birthday Celebrated at the “Clara Inn””
