Meeting Teresa at one of Millstreet's most popular landmark shops in the Square on our Snow Tour today.

Our Snow Tour today begins as usual at Mount Leader having met John Twomey of An Post cheerfully delivering the Christmas post on foot – proceeding down through the field – by the kind permission of the owner –  (for safe footing sake) to Clara Road, onwards to West End where we note the schools are naturally closed in such wintery conditions.   We note further path clearing and view the Bridge and Main Street.   Soon we get to meet with [read more …] “Millstreet Snow Tour – Monday, 20th Dec. 2010”

Friendly Dog Now Back at Home

Delighted to report that the very friendly dog we featured yesterday afternoon on our website was recognised by her owner sometime later.   The appreciative owner contacted the number indicated and was very glad to discover that it was in fact the family dog which featured and which had been receiving truly wonderful care by the two kindhearted people who originally found the dog which had strayed to West End.   So the dog is now back at home.   A story with a happy ending at Christmas!   It also demonstrates a further valuable advantage of a local website.   Sincere thanks to All who helped on this occasion.
