Millstreet Vintage Club Presentation to CART Group in Carriganima

A Great Night was had last night at The Pub in Carriganima where Millstreet Vintage Club Members made a presentation to CART Carriganima of €1,177.50 proceeds from the Charity Tractor Run the Club ran last September to go towards their running costs for the Area Rural Bus Service. The Club are delighted to be associated once again this year with such a worthy cause, many thanks to CART Carriganima and the Pub Carriganima for the hospitality that we were given last night in Carriganima, and Millstreet Vintage Club look forward to working with this great group again in 2020. Presentation made to ICRR Air Ambulance Group following recent Charity Truck Run

Following the recent Truck Run for the ICRR Air Ambulance Helicopter a staggering Sum of €15,312.57 was presented to ICRR last Monday over at their base in Rathcoole. Daniel Lucey of Millstreet Vintage Club who spearheaded the organising team for the Run was delighted with the outcome. He thanked all the people who helped make this happen and would like to thank Everyone for their support and generosity. Without the help of all the following the Event would not have been the success that it was namely the O’Keeffe Family (Gordon and Breeda) for the use of the Premises at K and L, the Buckley Family (Danny and Eileen) of Cloverhill Foods, Millstreet Town Park Committee for the use of the Park for the launch of the Run, an Garda Síochána in Millstreet and Kanturk for their support and help, the Bike Marshals for keeping the Run running so smoothly on the day, the Media and Photographers for their coverage, Joanne in McCarthy’s for organising a Table Quiz, a special thanks to all the people who donated Spot Prizes, to the hauliers and drivers who supported the event, and last but not least to all the hardworking team at Millstreet Vintage Club, friends and non-members for all their help.

Biggest Model/Toy Show ever held in K and L last Sunday

In what was a Record Breaking attendance on Sunday last at the Millstreet Vintage Club Model and Toy Show,the Club wishes to thank Everybody who both attended,took part and helped in any way with what was the Vintage Clubs fifth and most successful Model Toy Show to date held this year for the first time at a new venue up in the K and L facility in Millstreet.

The new  venue at K and L brought with it more space as the Show has grown and grown year by year which meant the Vintage Club had to make the move to K and L this year from the previously used venue at Dromtariffe Hall which had served the Club so well over the past 4 years,the Club wish to thank Gordon and Breeda O’Keeffe and all of the Staff at K and L for the use of such a fantastic facility and for all there help and also want to thank Cloverhill Foods for the use of there parking facilities.


We also wish to thank Dromtarriffe Hall for the use of some of there Equipment on the day,and many thanks also to Burton Homevalue Hardware Kanturk, Greenvalley Transport & Plant Hire,Seanie Walsh Traffic Management,Buckley Electrical & Appliances,for all there help.

To the Photographers and Media who helped us promote the Event on both the lead up and on the day itself we thank you for your help and to the Hardworking Team who were involved all weekend to help Set-up Run and Tidy up after the Event,without the help of each and everyone of you the Event would not be able to function,there were fantastic Displays on Show from Exhibitors who came from both near and far and once again Event Organiser Donie Lucey and all at Millstreet Vintage Club would like to thank Everybody for there support and look forward to seeing ye all again Next Year. We are almost there now with just Hours to go to the Annual Model Toy Show hosted by Millstreet Vintage Club which will take place on this coming Sunday Oct 13th.
This Year the Event is heading to a New Venue up at the K and L Transport Depot in Millstreet,the Show is always a great day out and has something for everyone both Young and Old,amongst some of the Attractions at the Event is an appearance by 3 Brothers namely Jerome,Conall,and Donagh from Glandore who starred on last years Late Late Toy Show where they made a big impression showcasing there Skills,also there will be a Fabulous display of Irish Dolls Houses
plus a display of Miniture House Furnishings,Curtains and Kitchen ware.
The Lego Display and Play Area which will be in attendance will be an experience not to be missed for all Lego Fans,plus the Biggest Remote Control Display of the Year will be on display at the Show as well and both Kids and Adults alike will be able to show off there Remote Control Driving Skills by taking part in a Remote Control Tractor Driving Challenge over a specially Layed out Course,if you are a Fan of Remote Control Models and in particular Tractors you cannot miss this and as usual there will be plenty more to see and do on the day and the Event has the makings of a great day out.

Millstreet Vintage Club Presentation to Millstreet Pipe Band

Millstreet Vintage Club made a Presentation to Millstreet Pipe Band of €500 which was the Proceeds of the recent Tractor Run the Club ran out of Aubane. The Presentation took place last Friday night following the Pipe Band’s performance at the Millstreet Culture Night Event. Pipe Major Brendan O’Sullivan and Band Member Marie Twomey accepted the Cheque from Club PRO Bernard Crowley and Club Treasurer Myra Sheehan.

Millstreet Vintage Club are delighted to be associated with the Culture Night in Millstreet which will be held on this coming Friday Sept 20th,the Vintage Club will put on a Display of Vintage Equipment Cars Tractors etc for the Evening and there are plenty Exhibits and Activities planned around the Town as well for the Culture Night itself,do support this Event and its all for Free.

 

Great Turnout for the CART Tractor Run on Sunday last

Millstreet Vintage Club and CART Carriganima wish to thank everyone for there support on the Tractor Run on Sunday last,the weather was mostly ok on the day and some 56 Tractors took to the road and conveyed through what was a lovely New Route which included going through picturesque Drishane before it made its way back to the finish at The Pub in Carriganima some 17 miles later where some Refreshments were enjoyed by all,thanks to all the Marshals,Seanie Kelleher on Bike Marshal Duty, An Garda Siochana and to Mick Duggan for leading the Tractors out on the Road and keeping the Run progress so smoothly,to the Crew at Sign on thanks again for a great job,to Christy Ring thanks for the continued support,to the Duggan Family for the use of the beautiful Grounds of Drishane,to Dolly Ring and the Crew at The Pub in Carriganima for the Catering,to the Media and Photographers thanks very much for your help special mention must go out to our Friends in Ballinagree Vintage Club for there invaluable help today,and again many thanks from CART Carriganima and Millstreet Vintage Club for the great turn out and support on the day,it is very much appreciated.

Millstreet Vintage Club Carriganima Tractor Run in aid of CART Rural Transport Service on Tommorrow Sunday September 15th.Registration at The Pub Carriganima from 10am Take off at 12 Noon.All Tractors Old and New very Welcome to take part.
Very Scenic Route planned which includes going through the Grounds of Drishane Castle,not to be missed,also the Run will Pass through Millstreet twice as it loops around Drishane Grounds so the Public are more than welcome to come out and support the Tractors as they go by from 12.30pm onwards,Refreshments afterwards at The Pub in Carriganima.

Great Turnout for the Millstreet Vintage Club Autumn Car Run last Sunday

Luke Hurley and all at Millstreet Vintage Club would like to thank everyone that took part last Sunday in the Clubs Autumn Car Run,a big thanks goes out to the hardworking Marshals who kept the Run going smoothly all day,to everyone that helped out at Sign on and Documentation before the start of the Run the Hardworking Catering Crew,thanks also to Dromtariffee Hall Committee,The Village Inn Ashford and Bob’s Bar in Ballydesmond for there Hospitality and use of there Premises,we are grateful for all the help and support ye gave,over 40 Fantastic Cars took part and they made there way through some lovely Countryside along the Cork /Kerry Border and East Limerick Areas with a Stop along the way at the most welcoming Village Inn Pub Ashford for light refreshments before heading back on the Road where the Run ended up at Bob’s Bar Ballydesmond for Dinner which concluded what was a most enjoyable day,we hope to see ye all again very soon,Luke.
