Today we Remember the Late Eileen Cronin of Pound Hill and Killowen who went to her Eternal Reward on this Day November 16th 1992,Eileen is dearly missed her Brother Garry and Sister in Law Bridie along with Family and Friends, May Eileen RIP.

Due to the upcoming Level 3 Ruling it looks like were back to closing down again,we will be Open Tomorrow Evening which will be our last Evening open for a while.
Thanks to Everyone for your Support over the last few weeks and hopefully will be back again soon.
It’s been a long time but we are back at last at The Pub in Carriganima,we will be opening at 6pm Tommorrow Evening and we look forward to meeting you all,with all the new rules and guidelines that we are getting to know about as we go along we would ask people to bare with us while we get used to this new way of life! Booking is advised for weekends as we can only take a certain amount of numbers and we don’t want to disappoint anyone.

These decisions were not taken lightly on what should be a great Year of 10th Anniversary Celebrations for Millstreet Vintage Club and we apologise to all our Club Members and Supporters for this but Safety is our Number 1 priority for Everybody and we look forward to getting back on the Road with Club Activities in the very near Future,Take Care and Stay Safe Everyone.
RTE did a one off insight into the Sport of Rallying back in 1976 and sent Reporter Liam Nolan along to follow the 1976 Circuit of Ireland Rally and in particular to follow the exploits of Millstreet Man Billy Coleman the 1975 Circuit Winner,the Footage here is of particular interest to the locals around here in Millstreet as a lot of familiar Faces are featured in this rare and most interesting documentary.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT and FIRST ANNIVERSARY
Died April 12th, 2019 
On this the First Anniversary,of Mary (Mae) Hurley Derrinagree her family would like to express their sincere thanks to all who sympathised with them following their sad loss.
We are deeply grateful to our extended family, friends and neighbours, for their support, kindness and generosity. Thank you to those who attended the funeral ceremonies, those who telephoned and to those who sent mass and sympathy cards, floral tributes and many lovely letters.
Thank you to the staff of Brídhaven Nursing Home in Mallow for their wonderful care of Mary.
We wish to thank Fr. Tom Leane, concelebrants, sacristan, organist, to the staff and professional services of Tarrant’s Undertakers for all their assistance, Millstreet Vintage Club for Traffic Management, and to the Wallis Arms Hotel for catering. As it would be impossible to thank
everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our thanks and appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for all your intentions. Lovingly remembered everyday.

The Saint Patricks Day Parade due to take place in Carriganima on Sunday next March 15th has now been cancelled due to the Coronavirus situation in the Country at the Moment,we apologise to Everyone who was looking forward to the Parade but we will be back with a Parade in 2021.
There is still Music to be enjoyed in the Pub on next Sunday Evening March 15th between 8pm and 10pm with the fabulous and upcoming Country and Western Star Michelle Murphy who is back in Carriganima by popular demand following her recent appearance at the Pub back in January,we look forward to seeing you all there.

Millstreet Vintage Club would like to thank everyone who came along to the Clubs second Johnny Hickey Memorial Spring Car Run held on Sunday last, on what was a mixed day at times weather wise an impressive line up of 60 fabulous cars still made the journey to Millstreet to take part in the Event. Many thanks to each and everyone for making the Trip. The Cars left Millstreet just after 12 noon and were again like last year led out by the Millstreet Pipe Band with whom Johnny Hickey was a member of for many years. After the Cars left the town they made their way up Tullig heading out the Rylane Road and then on to Ballinagree and then turning left off the Ballinagree Macroom Road to progress on to Hanover Hall and on to the Macroom-Rusheen Road before it joined the Coachford to Dripsey Road with the Event then making its way on to a Tea/Coffee Stop at Griffins Garden Centre. From there the Run continued its way back to Dripsey where it turned off and headed on to Cloghroe and from here the Run made it’s way to Donoughmore, New Tipperary, and then on to Bweeng, before turning on to the Road to Grenagh to make it’s way to the finish at The Farm in Grenagh, where a very Welcome meal was enjoyed at the end of a most enjoyable Run.
Millstreet Vintage Club would like to thank all the People that helped out which helped make the Event a great success:- to all the Marshalls, Arrowing Crew, Registration/Sign On, Route Layout etc many many thanks for all your help. Also, we wish to thank Millstreet Pipe Band, An Garda Síochána, Wallis Arms Hotel, Griffins Garden Centre, The Farm Grenagh, Photographers and Media People, and finally many thanks to the Hickey Family again for there support and for donating the Johnny Hickey Memorial Cup to Millstreet Vintage Club, and Congratulations to the second winner of this most beautiful Cup Denis O’Riordan for Best Car in his Toyota Cressida, a most worthy winner. We look forward to seeing you all again for the 2021 Johnny Hickey Memorial Spring Car Run.

The Annual Johnny Hickey Memorial Spring Car Run organised by Millstreet Vintage Club which will take place on tomorrow Sunday March 8th. Sign on for the Run is from 10.30am at the Wallis Arms Hotel. The Run will be led away from the Hotel at 12 noon by the Millstreet Pipe Band and will make it’s way across a lovely Scenic Route as it travels along to its first stop at Griffins Garden Centre in Dripsey, where we will have a break for Coffee. From there we continue through some lovely countyside as we make our way to the finish at The Farm in Grenagh where we will then adjourn for dinner after a busy day on the Road. All Vintage/Classic Cars, Bikes, Vehicles are very welcome to join the Run. The Johnny Hickey Memorial Cup will also be up for grabs for Best Car on the day. In February 1975 some 45 Years ago The Aubane Social Club was founded,to mark the occasion the Club are having a night out with dinner at the Auld Triangle on Friday 13 March 2020 at 8pm in Macroom with past and present members of the Club,there will be a Complimentary Bus leaving Aubane Community Centre at 7.15pm for anyone that wishes to avail of this,
John F Kelleher Chairman of the Social Club reports that the Club is going from strength to strength and the future is very bright,as usual for the Year ahead the Club have many activities and events planned.

Following on from the recent Cars Coffee and Chat Morning held on Sunday Jan 22nd last and also the End of Year Club Social Activites held back in November which were Organised by
Millstreet Vintage Club a final figure of €2,100.69 was raised in Total from these Events for Marymount Hospice,the Vintage Club would like to thank Everybody for there fantastic support and generosity.
A Cheque for the final figure raised was presented by Millstreet Vintage Club to Marymount Hospice in Millstreet on Friday Night Feb 21st last at The Wallis Arms Hotel in Millstreet,Fiona Kelleher of Marymount accepted the Cheque on behalf of the Group from Coffee Morning Organiser Daniel Lane and Fiona thanked the Generosity of People for supporting such a great Cause in Marymount Hospice and said it would be a great help for the Groups Activities.

A Great Night was had at the Millstreet Vintage Club Charity Pub Quiz in aid of the ICRR Air Ambulance Service held in McCarthys Bar Millstreet on Friday Night last,there was a super Turnout and Myra Sheehan Event Organiser and the Club wishes to thank everyone who took part on the Night,the Club would also like to thank Joanne in McCarthys Bar for providing a great Venue,Denis Cremin for being a fantastic Quiz Master,Noreen Meade for checking the Answers and keeping the Scoring updated and Denis Lane for the use of his Amplification Equipment and to John Tarrant,Daniel Lane and Sean Radley for coming along to take some Photos,also many thanks to the people who donated Spot Prizes for the Draw held as well, Many Congratulations to the Winning Team and to the people that won Spot Prizes on the Night also.
