Much Appreciated Cheque Presentation to R.O.C.S. at Wallis Arms Hotel

Following a very successful fundraising Women’s Little Christmas Event 2018 at the Wallis Arms Hotel in January a very generous cheque was presented to R.O.C.S. (Reach Out Cancer Support) at the Hotel on Friday, 26th Jan. 2018.  We share a selection of images from the Presentation. Nollaig na mBan

As mentioned on Thursday, Graham Clifford of RTÉ Radio 1’s Drivetime Programme was in Millstreet and Carriganima to interview local ladies about the Women’s Little Christmas Celebrations in the area. The feature was aired about 5:40pm on Friday evening, and included a few words with Ann Marie Kelleher, Christopher (Barman at the Wallis Arms), Pat Randles, Noreen Dennehy, Sean Murphy and more ladies the Pub Carriganima. If you missed the feature, you can listen it on the RTÉ Player (from 1:08:40 to 1:16:00 in the programme). Womens Little Christmas to be Featured from Millstreet and Carriganima on this coming Friday Evening on the Drivetime Programme on RTE Radio 1 Tune in at 5.30 this Evening (Note the Change of Time on this)

UPDATE THIS FEATURE WILL BE ON AT 5.30PM THIS EVENING (NOTE CHANGE OF TIME)

The Drivetime Programme which airs on RTE Radio 1 every evening Monday to Friday between 4.30pm and 7.00pm, is doing a feature on how Womens Little Christmas is being celebrated in the Millstreet Area. They plan to have the feature on their programme this Friday evening between 6 and 6.30pm approx. On the programme they will have a report from Millstreet and Carriganima on the preparations for celebrating  Womens Little Christmas which takes place on this coming Saturday January 6th. On the Programme they plan to visit the Wallis Arms Hotel in Millstreet and the Pub in Carriganima which are both holding Womens Little Christmas Celebrations, and will talk to various people on what Womens Little Christmas means to them, so do tune in to Mary Wilson on Drivetime between 6.00pm and 6.30pm, tommorrow Friday and if there is any change on the broadcast time for this we will keep you informed here on millstreet.ie with any update on this.

Wonderfully Popular Women’s Little Christmas Annual Event on 8th January 2016

Women’s Little Christmas Event will be held on Friday 8th January 2016 in Wallis Arms Hotel Millstreet. Tickets at €25.00 each and will include punch reception, turkey and ham, dessert, tea/coffee. Please them know in advance if you have any dietery requirments, prior to the event. Music by “Back on Track.” Doors open at 7.30 and meal served at 8 pm sharp. Mairéad Daly is to appear on TV3's "Ireland AM" on Tuesday, 6th January to share in a panel discussion relating to the wonderful tradition associated with the 6th January here in Ireland. Mairéad Daly was to appear on TV3’s “Ireland AM” on Tuesday, 6th January at 9.20 a.m. but unfortunately this has been cancelled by TV3 at short notice.  This is unfortunate as a lot of effort has been put in to record the event  last Friday evening for this program. Click on the images to enlarge.   (S.R.)
