Next “Radio Treasures” on Tuesday 24th Sept. 2024

Although there will not be a transmission of our weekly “Radio Treasures” on Cork Music Station tonight (Tues. 17th Sept. 2024) there will however be the weekly broadcast at 8pm of Jimmy Reidy’s Archival Programme No. 115 relating to “Bachelors in Trouble”.  We shall return next week with our broadcast of “Radio Treasures” which will include a report on our Annual Visit to Knockalougha Rambling House in North Kerry.   Here we share a few recent updates of local happenings.  Tap on the images to enlarge.  (S.R.)

The next competition will be a “3 ball scramble” open to all members. If interested, please send your name to 086 8510423 before 6 pm on Monday 18th July. Teams of 3 players of mixed ability will be drawn . Competitors can play anytime during the following fortnight up to 8pm on Monday 1st August.

Coaching on the course next Tuesday night 19th July at 7 pm.

End of 2019 Updates

  1.  Millstreet Pipe Band is scheduled to welcome the New Year at The Square, Millstreet 7pm on this New Year’s Eve.   Always a welcoming and uplifting occasion.
  2. “Radio Treasures” will be broadcast on Cork Music Station tonight 9:30 to 11:00pm featuring the very best of music and song as well as focusing on the Years of the Zero from 1920 to 2010 as we enter 2020 – a Leap Year and the Year of the Olympics.
  3. Boherbue’s Music Room begins its first programme on this Thursday, 2nd Jan. 2020 with Listeners’ Choice where people are encouraged to bring along a Music CD or two for inclusion in this annual presentation.
