Santa received a royal welcome as he made his hugely popular visit to The Pub in Carriganima on Sunday, 20th Dec. 2015. He arrived by the CART (Carriganima Area Rural Transport) Bus driven by Mr. McSweeney (pictured below on right of Santa). Click on the images to enlarge. (S.R.)

“Fuel The Pub” Event Tonight at Carriganima

Tonight (12th Dec. 2015) at The Pub in Carriganima the annual "Fuel the Pub" event takes place where customers are given a free drink in return for helping to fuel the Pub by bringing turf, timber or even offer to fill the oil tank.  Over the years creative provisions have also been offers...!  Thanks to Seán Murphy for alerting us to the annual event.  Click on the image to enlarge.

Beyond Millstreet Town it’s fame did travel far
The licensed premises owned by Catherine Duggan known as The Blue Dog Bar
Long deceased Millstreet’s most beautiful woman when in her life’s prime
Though this is going back many decades in time

Catherine a young widow with a large young family to raise
Was a woman who never did cease to amaze
Her children all quite successful became known far and wide
