FUNDRAISING TABLE QUIZ AID OF CANCER CONNECT
A table quiz will be held in Moll Carthy’s Bridge Bar in Kilcorney on this Friday night January 19th commencing at 8.30pm. This table quiz is in aid of Cancer Connect, an organization who provides transport to people for Cancer services in our Cork Hospitals. Your support would be very much appreciated for this worthy cause.

Corkery’s bar would like to say a big thank you to everyone who took part in this years quiz. A total of €1,040 was raised which will be split between Millstreet Hospital and The Cope Foundation

Scór Quiz team set for All Ireland Final
Best of luck to the Millstreet team of Liam Flynn, Pat Sheehan, Jerry Doody, and John Tarrant who take part in the All Ireland Scór Sinsear Final of the Tráth na gCeisteanna Boird (Table Quiz), at the City West Hotel in Dublin tomorrow morning April 25th at 11am.
Best of luck also to Cork‘s only other competitors – Boherbue who take part in the Rince Seit (Set Dancing).
Result: Millstreet finished 10th out of 27. As one of the lads said, “The questions just didn’t suit”

Pieta House is the centre for the prevention of self-harm or suicide in Ireland, and opened its doors over nine years ago.
In the intervening years they have seen and helped nearly 17,000 people in suicidal distress or engaging in self-harm, and to date have opened eight centres around the country.

Lourdes Table Quiz – Thank you!
The Table Quiz that took place on Friday 30th January in the Wallis Arms was a great success. The purpose of the evening was to raise money to help cover the travel and accommodation costs of six 5th year students who are going to Lourdes at Easter as helpers with the IHCPT – The Irish Pilgrimage Trust (€650/head). Thirty two teams took part in the quiz and along with the raffle a total of €1894 was raised, which is fantastic.
Thanks to everyone who took part in the event and helped in any way to make the quiz a success. Thanks especially to the Wallis Arms for providing the back room free of charge and to John Tarrant for devising excellent questions once again.

Successful ‘Rolling Through the Years’ Quiz at Millstreet Community School
The ‘Rolling Through the Years’ table quiz that was held in Millstreet Community School on Thursday 18th December proved to be a great success. Ten teams took part and had to get to grips with some very demanding questions. Thanks to all who participated.
