Millstreet Pictorial Updates Monday 29th June 2020

As we enter the next phase of the easing of COVID-19 Restrictions we reflect on life in Millstreet on this historic Monday when many businesses reopen.  And we are all so relieved that Hair Salons and Barber Shops will be according a royal welcome from this day!  We share a selection of images illustrating uplifting signs for the future.   Tap on the images to enlarge.  (S.R.)

Tom Flahive on behalf of Millstreet GAA superbly coordinated the hugely successful Clothes Collection in Millstreet GAA Community Hall from 9am to 2pm on Saturday.

We’re presently preparing a full feature on the splendid Graduation ceremony which took place at Presentation N.S., Millstreet last week. A full feature will also appear on the “Corkman”.

Monday, 29th June 2020 – the day on which the first congregation of fifty people will attend 10am Mass at St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet….following the easing of COVID-19 Restrictions.
The Bumbleance Go Fund Me Project is close on €1,300.00. The target is €1,500.00 and the fundraising is open until 12 midnight on this Tuesday, 30th June 2020. To support the very praiseworthy cause just log on to Bumbleance and then follow instructions on how to donate. It was a true privilege meeting with inspirational Champion Jockey David Mullins (fifth from left) at Rathcoole Airfield on Fri. morning. Our picture features in today’s “The Echo” (18th Jan. 2020) with the uplifting story of the cheque presentation by David in gratitude for being airlifted following a serious injury in October. Thankfully David has recovered so well and looks forward to getting back to the equestrian world. He won the Aintree Grand National in 2016.

Millstreet Weekend Pictorial Updates – 17th August 2019

It’s been a very busy weekend here in Millstreet with the superbly colourful Horse Show in the exquisite setting of Green Glens, a wonderfully successful Coffee Morning at Aubane Community Centre in aid of Marymount, royal welcome extended to the many visitors including John D. Neenan presently on holiday from the USA …. and an uplifting generous response to the annual Church Gate Collection for Sr. Consilio Centre in Farran. … as well as great support for HOPE fundraisers (Coláiste Treasa, Kanturk Students)Nancy with Niamh and Catherine Ferns.   He we share some 16 images from those many Millstreet events.  Click on the images to enlarge.  (S.R.)
