Millstreet Pictorial Updates – 4th July 2025

Celebrating American Independence Day, 4th July 2025 we share a variety of pictorial updates which include a recent visit to the wonderful Mushera Marquee Dancing Event honouring St. John the Baptist organised by the very welcoming people from Ballinagree….We get to meeting the many enthusiastic people participating plus the dedicated organiser of the recent very successful Willie Neenan Memorial Annual Road Race. And we meet a Millstreet man who recently visited Kiev in Ukraine. A very Happy 4th July to our many loyal followers of www.millstreet.ie based in the USA. **The truly superb gathering of highly talented Singers and Musicians who recently performed at “The Pub” in Carriganima in aid of the Fundraiser Event for CART – Carriganima Area Rural Transport.**

On his recent visit addressing the Students at Millstreet Community School newly appointed Minister of State at the Dept. of Education, Michael Moynihan, T.D. was presented with a creative plaque by the Board of Management and the Student Council.

**Annmarie O’Riordan-Holmes, Singer supreme, video recording the recent Dromtariffe Vintage Tractor and Car Run.**

**In aid of the Guide Dogs for the Blind and Sight Challenged this was the impressive scene through Millstreet Town of the many tractors participating in the recent Millstreet Vintage Club Tractor Run.**

**Tom Carroll accepts the €2,000.00 cheque from Marie Twomey. Patricia Carroll won this Jackpot in the Local Lottery just one week after her husband, Tom, had shared in the substantial win with Nigel.**

Our latest Millstreet Pictorial Updates places focus on the beauty of Autumn locally and internationally. We include a feature from today’s “Sunday Business Post” which makes a very important reference to Scoil Mhuire, Millstreet BNS. And we hope that someone might be able to share information about the late Mr. John J. Campion about whom Bill Browne has written in this week’s “Corkman” indicating that John was born in Millstreet. And we recall yesterday’s Beatification of the young Carlo Acutis in Assisi, Italy yesterday (Sat. 10/10/2020) who died at the age of 15 in 2006. Tap on the images to enlarge. Finally, a reminder that C103’s “Round the Fireside” on Monday, 12th Oct. 10.00 to 11.00 pm will focus on Millstreet when Presenter supreme, Jimmy Reidy will broadcast one of his many past programmes from his extensive Audio Archives.
