Millstreet Town Lotto resuming again this Sunday January 3rd

Millstreet Town Lotto is resuming again on Sunday 3rd January 2021. Please be assured that the running of the draw is following all correct procedures and protocols and the committee are adhering to the advised safety measures that are specific to the safe continuation of this local fun-
raising venture. The Jackpot stands at €12,200 with substantial consolation prizes if the correct 4 numbers are not drawn on the night. Please continue to purchase a ticket and be in with a chance to win.

Millstreet Lotto Postponed

Millstreet Lotto Committee would like to announce that, due to the Covid-19 Virus, the weekly local lotto draws are postponed for the foreseeable future. Please keep any tickets and monies for this week’s draw (15 th March) safely until we can announce a suitable draw date. There will be no tickets issued in the interm.

Matthew Receives His Magnificent Local Lotto Cheque

At the Wallis Arms Hotel on Sunday night members of Millstreet Local Lotto Committee joined the Winner (and Friends) of the magnificent cheque of €8,400.00. Holding the cheque (from left): Winner Matthew Bradley of Coachford who also has close connections to Millstreet Parish; Marie Twomey of Millstreet Local Lotto Committee and Michelle Whelan who sold the winning ticket and received €840.00. On Sunday night 11th June 2017 at the Wallis Arms Hotel the wonderfully dedicated Millstreet Lotto Committee officially presented the truly magnificent cheque of €11,800.00 which has recently been won. Pictured holding the Grand Cheque (from left) are Tom Carroll of Millstreet (Seller of the winning ticket and receiving €1,180.00 – 10% of the overall win); Marie Twomey of Millstreet Lotto Committee officially handing over the cheque to John Rahilly of Rathmore who won the overall superb cheque. A.G.M. of Highly Regarded Millstreet Local Lotto at Wallis Arms Hotel

A very successful A.G.M. of Millstreet Local Lotto was held in the Wallis Arms Hotel on Saturday, 25th March 2017 at which the enormous benefits of the excellent local fund were outlined and sincere thanks extended to all who consistently supported such a praiseworthy local project which has been in place for over twenty years. Magnificent Millstreet Lotto Cheque Presented to Rita O’Reilly

Rita O'Reilly of Cloghoulabeg, Millstreet (seated centre) was presented with her most impressive cheque of €10,200.00 by the offers and members of the Millstreet Lotto Committee on Monday night (6th June 2016) at "The Clara Inn". Also included is proprietor, Ursula Pomeroy (seated on extreme left). Rita also won the Seller's Prize. Sincere congratulations to Rita and indeed to the Lotto Committee who so very dedicatedly coordinate the weekly Draw - all in a voluntary capacity. The Lotto project continues to be one of the most successful and beneficial features of our community. In its 22nd year it is the life line of our TownPark, the local GAA and the Youth Complex. Hundreds of our people of all ages live better lives because of it. In all about 44 people are involved in the Lotto.

Lotto Funding keeps our Town Park in pristine condition ,with new features being added all the time. The setting up of a 24 piece outdoor Gym around the perimeter is proving very popular ,each piece with a tag saying “Funded by the Lotto”. Improvements are always on-going. Well done to the inspiringly dedicated Millstreet Lotto Committee.

Wonderfully Uplifting Report at AGM of Millstreet Local Lotto Association

The AGM of Millstreet Local Lotto was held at the Wallis Arms Hotel on Friday, 20th March 2015.   Following a most encouraging annual report which revealed that a very significant contribution of several thousand euro was distributed equally between Millstreet GAA, Millstreet Tidy Towns and Millstreet Town Park
The AGM of Millstreet Local Lotto was held at the Wallis Arms Hotel on Friday, 20th March 2015. Following a most encouraging annual report which revealed that a very significant contribution of several thousand euro was distributed equally between Millstreet GAA,  Millstreet Youth Amenity Fund (not Millstreet Tidy Towns as indicated in original post) and Millstreet Town Park during the past year – the dedicated members of the Committee (pictured) were treated to a superb meal and later to a marvellous musical evening of entertainment coordinated by Marie Twomey.   Sincere congratulations to this remarkably hard-working local Group who have so magnificently enhanced Millstreet through such generous voluntary efforts on a weekly basis throughout the year – every year.  Click on the images to enlarge.    (S.R.)

Greetings, dear Listeners, from Millstreet on this the 17th December 2014.    Deputising for Eily Buckley this is Regional Report No. 1247.  And in our Millstreet Parish headlines this week we hear about a number of annual events, we learn about a 118 year old lady, we discover the arrival of Santa by boat in Carriganima…and there’s more, much more.

The Annual Mass at Millstreet Credit Union Centre took place on Tuesday at 8.00p.m. while on this Wednesday night at 7.30 Millstreet Reach Out Cancer Support Group will hold a Mass in St. Patrick’s Church.  Millstreet G.A.A. will hold its Annual Christmas walk on St. Stephen’s Day with Registration between 11 & 11.30a.m. at the GAA Hall on the day itself.  And Aubane Community Club will hold its annual Mushera Climb on Christmas morning – this year in aid of Aubane Community Alert.

John is Presented with his Very Impressive Cheque at “Clara Inn” by Millstreet Lotto Committee on Sunday Night as is Donal

The very popular winner of last week’s Local Lotto prize of €10,400.00 – John Murphy (seated in centre) of Clara, Millstreet – was presented with his superb cheque at the “Clara Inn” on Sunday, 23rd June 2013 by Marie Twomey and Cllr. Noel Buckley representing the Lotto Committee. Donal Guiney (seated on extreme right), seller of the lucky ticket, was also presented with his €1,040.00 cheque. Also pictured on extreme left in front is Ursula Pomeroy of the wonderfully attractive “Clara Inn”.  Further members of the Committee are included in our cheerful photograph.
