– I very much appreciate your generous invitation to be present today at the opening of the Sheltered Housing and Day Care Centre here in Millstreet. I would especially like to thank Mr. Michael Feeley, Chairman of the Millstreet & District Housing Association, for asking me to perform this pleasant task. I am always glad of opportunities to meet with members of voluntary bodies and to assist and encourage them in their activities.- I would like to take this opportunity to compliment the Millstreet & District Housing Association Ltd. for their initiative in developing this new project. I note that the Association was formed in 1991 and I am greatly impressed that so much work has been completed in such a short space of time.
– This Ceremony here today is the culmination of a great deal of detailed planning and hard work. This project is also a testimony to the generous spirit of the people of Millstreet. A special thanks must be extended to [read more …] “President Mary Robinson’s Speech at the opening of the Canon O’Donovan Centre”
