I recall meeting with the mother of the late Dolores O’Riordan of “The Cranberries” at Green Glens as she also waited to meet “Meat Loaf” in the Green Room following his performance on stage in Green Glens in 1996. (S.R.)Hannelie (O’Connor) indicates that the Meat Loaf Concert at Green Glens, Millstreet on Wednesday, 10th April 1996 was one of the very best Concerts which she has ever attended. Prior to the event this is how the “Irish Times” reported on the upcoming event: “Meat Loaf, Millstreet, Cork, April 10th and Point, April 11th. Welcome To The Neighbourhood is not Bat Out Of Hell III, but it might as well be. Expect plenty of Indiana Jones style theatrics, with Meat playing both Harrison Ford and Seán Connery.” May the amazing singer “Meat Loaf” rest in peace.
