Wonderfully Colourful Millstreet Christmas Market 2012 Today and Tomorrow

Enthusiastically promoting the splendid new “Millstreet Moments” Calendar 2013 at the magnificent Millstreet Christmas Market 2012 taking place in the GAA Community Hall today and tomorrow (1st and 2nd Dec.).    (S.R.)

Millstreet Juvenile GAA Fun Walk – Mercy Hospital

Walkers can now choose to climb Clara Mountain OR complete the Drishane Castle Loop via Station Road. This is to suit our younger walkers who may find Clara Mountain a little too adventurous! Meeting point for both walks is the GAA Hall at 11am. All sponsorship cards to be handed up before the walk.
Thanks to Thomas Duggan for allowing us use Drishane Castle.

Launch of “The Bard” by Barry Keane in Millstreet on 18th Aug. 2012

Patricia Guerin’s Coffee Morning Today – A Great Success

Patricia Guerin (on extreme left) with her wonderfully dedicated co-workers at today’s Coffee Morning in Millstreet GAA Community Hall. The very successful event was held in aid of Millstreet Church Restoration Fund and also COPE Foundation Mallow.   (S.R.)

Public Meeting on EU Fiscal Treaty, and Household, Septic, and Water Charges

There will be a public meeting in Millstreet GAA Hall next Monday night 14th May at 8pm, where a talk will be given on the upcoming referendum of the EU Fiscal Treaty, household charges, septic tank charges, and water charges. All are welcome.

The Millstreet group campaigning against household charges and austerity meet Monday nights at 8.30pm in the Bush Bar. Anyone that wishes to join the campaign is welcome. Contact (087)3560013.

Presentation N.S. Children in a Wonderfully Charming Christmas Play

One of the many wonderfully charming scenes during a Nativity Play by the Junior Section of Presentation N.S., Millstreet at the G.A.A. Community Hall on Monday, 5th Dec. 2011. This is becoming an annual event because of the success of previous years. 20+ stands (different each day) There will be a huge selection of unique Christmas gifts and things you just want to keep for yourself. Stand-holders will have an interesting selection handmade and locally produced items for sale including, knitting, paintings, baking, wreaths, computers, jewelery, preserves etc.

Winners of the Annual Bazaar Raffle

Winners of the Raffle at the Millstreet Annual Bazaar held in the GAA Hall, 20th November were:
1st Prize – 32″ Flatscreen TV – Niall O’Brien
2nd Prize – Supervalue Bumper Hamper – Eileen Kiely
3rd Prize – €100 Shopping Vouchers – Denis Healey.
There were also lots of winners of various smaller prizes on the Wheel of Fortune.
