Superb “Ear to the Ground” Feature With Conor Sheahan, Family & Friends

Sincere congratulations to Conor Sheahan of “Finnow Farm”, his Family & Friends – all of whom featured in last Thursday’s RTÉ 1 Television “Ear to the Ground” episode (25th Jan. 2024) of this magnificent series. Darragh McCullough is RTÉ’s Presenter who visited the Farm in Ballintona, Millstreet and was clearly impressed by Conor’s herd of Wagyu Cattle. Tony O’Brien, Master Butcher, Minor Row, Millstreet also appears on the programme –as do Conor’s Family & Friends. The very interesting programme was recorded some weeks ago during quite cold weather. Here we share some 15 images from the splendid programme. Preparing Cows for a Dairy Show

This evening Ear to the Ground (RTÉ ONE) had a feature from Millstreet: “Darragh McCullough explores the National Dairy Show in Millstreet, Co Cork, where he meets the Murphys who stay up all night to keep their cows and calves clean for the parade ring.”

It’s an interesting look at what goes on behind the scenes at a dairy show – from leading them, feeding them, keeping them clean, washing, clipping, and blowdrying them, and even hair extensions. See the show on the RTÉ Player (from 15:54 to the end of the programme).
