“Radio Treasures” Feature on European Parliament Next Week

The next “Radio Treasures” on Cork Music Station will be broadcast on Tuesday, 5th March 2019 from 9:30 to 11:00pm.   It’s a very special transmission in that it features a complete programme on our recent visit to Brussels, Ghent and Brouge in Belgium over two and a half days.   We receive an excellent insight into the workings of the European Parliament from Seán Kelly, M.E.P..  There is no “Radio Treasures” broadcast on this Tuesday, 26th Feb..  More information regarding next week’s programme will later be shared before transmission.  Click on the two images below to enlarge.  (S.R.)

“Radio Treasures” on Tuesday at 10pm Features Many Interviews Recorded at Last Week’s BTYS Exhibition in Dublin’s RDS

A visit to the recent BTYS Exhibition at Dublin’s RDS was hugely inspiring and uplifting where the superb creativity of Ireland’s young people was truly in evidence.   We meet and interview enthusiastic and dedicated Students from Millstreet Community School, from Bantry Community College as well as Students from Kanturk, Clare and many other areas.  Below we share images from our visit during which we got wonderful support from Teachers Denise, Francis and Jennifer as well as from Fr. Thanks to the magnificent kindness of Caroline, Martina, Joan and the Cashman Family of Tullig and Ratoath, Co. Next “Radio Treasures” on Tuesday 10th July from 9:30 until 11:00pm

There is no transmission of “Radio Treasures” on Tuesday 3rd July on www.corkmusicstation.com.   Broadcasts will resume on Tues., 10th July at 9:30pm when we shall feature lots of superb music and song as well as interesting interviews at 10:00pm.  We shall be referring also to recent events such as the recent Circuit of Ireland Rally Stages Revisited where lots of Ford Escorts appeared (as illustrated below) and we shall chat about the June presentation by Joe Kennelly at Millstreet Gramophone Circle (also illustrated here).   The next Gramophone Circle presentation takes place on our national Culture Night on 21st September and will be given by Maurice Linehan.  Click on the images to enlarge.  (S.R.)

William Fitzgerald’s usual Thursday programme on Cork Music Station will this week be broadcast from 9:00 to 11:00 pm on Tuesday…which means that “Radio Treasures” with yours truly will now be transmitted this week on Thursday from 9:30 to 11:00 pm(S.R.)
