Annual Christmas Mass and Party in Cullen

Our 39th Annual Christmas Mass and party will be held in Cullen Community Centre on Saturday December 7th at 1.00 pm. Invitations will be sent to approx. 100 special guests and their families. Our Christmas Mass and Party continues to be the highlight of the year, where many friendships are renewed and new ones formed at this Annual get-together. Following Mass refreshments and delicious food is served and then all take the floor for a great evening of disco music, song and dance. Each guest then receives a Christmas Gift. This party is a great meeting place for friends to relax and chat.
Any new families are very welcome to attend, details from any committee member or call 02979055 in the afternoon only for more info.

Christmas Cabaret At Coolcower House

CHRISTMAS CABARET- COOLCOWER HOUSE – As there is no venue available to host the Annual Pantomime, Lee Valley Panto Group have decided to assist 4 charities this year by performing Christmas Candlelight Cabaret at Coolcower House Macroom on the 13th and 14th of December at 8pm. The charities are as follows: Marymount Hospice,  Macroom Hospital,  St Vincent DePaul and Sullane Haven .

Magical Christmas Spirit 2018 in Millstreet

The true spirit of Christmas is in evidence throughout Millstreet Town with the official turning on of the Christmas Lights at The Square on Friday evening (7th Dec. 2018) revealing a magnificent festive creation, the Christmas Jumper GAA Run in aid of Irish Cancer Society on Saturday and people adding Christmas magic to shop windows with outdoor Christmas Trees further enhancing the atmosphere.  This year our Christmas Tree is located near the Corner by the original Tom Radley’s Forge.  Here we share a variety of images illustrating that wonderful Christmas Spirit.  Click on the images to enlarge.  (S.R.) Millstreet Vintage Club upcoming Events

Following on from Millstreet Vintage Clubs first ever Weekend Away/Car Run to West Cork/ Bantry held over the past Weekend the Club have a number of important Events happening in December and into the New Year listed below.

Millstreet Vintage Club Christmas Party on Saturday Night Dec 8th at Corkerys Bar in Millstreet, Kicks Off from 9pm. Everybody Welcome.

Presentation of the Proceeds from the Recent Tractor Run for CART organised by Millstreet Vintage Club will be held at the Pub in Carriganima on Saturday December 15th at 9pm Refreshments will be served,Everybody Welcome.

Millstreet Vintage Club Annual AGM will take place on Thursday 10th January 2019 in the Millstreet Parish Centre at 8.00pm sharp. All Club Members please Attend and anyone out there interested in Vintage/Classic Cars/Bikes and Tractors are more than welcome to come along to the Meeting and join our Club.

Women’s Little Christmas Ball

A small number of tickets still available for the Women’s Little Christmas Ball at the Wallis Arms this Saturday January 6th, for which proceeds go to Reach Out Cancer Support (ROCS) Millstreet. Doors Open at 7.15pm, mulled wine reception at 7.30pm, and food is served at 8.10pm. It going to be a great night!!

The fields on either side of the Finnow cloaked in gray
And the turkey cooking for dinner on Christmas Day
And farmers say the frost is quite severe
But such expected at this time of year.

The housebound cows bellow for silage or hay
And little children with their new toys play
And robins by the back door wait for bread
On Christmas Day they too like to be fed.

The church bell ring in nearby Millstreet Town
For the last mass the seconds tolling down
And last night snow fell high on Clara hill
And Coomlogane bare to the winter chill

Santa appearing in Carriganima today Sunday at 3pm

Don’t forget Santa Claus is appearing at The Pub in Carriganima on today Sunday Dec 17th at 3pm. This year he is arriving by Horseback, so why not come along to Carriganima on Sunday to meet the great Man himself. He is looking forward to meeting Everybody on the day.
