A Wonderfully Busy Saturday in a Colourful Millstreet

Saturday, 15th Sept. 2018 truly was a very busy and exciting day in Millstreet which included the official welcome of our Breton Visitors from Pommerit le Vicomte who will be on holiday for the next week – While Tubrid Holy Well and Millstreet GAA Community Hall were the venues for the inspirational Faith and Light Group from all over Munster.  Lots and lots of superbly colourful Cork Flags and window displays salute the splendidly talented Chloe Collins in advance of the All-Ireland in Croke Park on Sunday.  Here we share images from the many happenings in Millstreet this Saturday.  Click on the images to enlarge.  (S.R.)

Every Success to Chloé Collins from Millstreet Community Council

Millstreet Community Council extends best wishes to Chloé Collins as she
dons the Cork jersey in Croke Park for the All-Ireland Senior Ladies
Football Final on next Sunday, 16th Sept. 2018.

The Community Council would also encourage businesses and householders in the town to put on a display of flags for Chloe on Sunday and for Cultural Night on Friday, 21st September.

Chloé in All-Ireland Quarter Final Action

Best of luck to Chloé Collins and the Cork Ladies Footballers who take on Westmeath this afternoon. It’s her first season with the Cork Seniors, and she is due to start at corner back.
Watch the game live on TG4, throw in is at  4.45pm at the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick.

The very best of luck to Chloé Collins who is starts tomorrow for Cork Senior Ladies Footballers, for the first time. I’m sure she won’t mind the long trip to Letterkenny where she starts at #13.

Chloé Called up to Cork Seniors

A big  congrats to Chloe Collins who was togged out for the first time for Cork Senior Ladies Footballers as they eased past Kerry 2-17 to 0-9 in Knocknagoshel on Sunday.

Also, commiserations to Chloé Collins who played a Munster Final with the Cork U16A team at the weekend & were narrowly defeated by Clare (photo & match report). Best of luck for the rest of the season girls!

Chloé was playing at #10, but on the day Cork where  outclassed by Clare and lost on a scoreline of 1-9 to 1-4.

Chloé wins All Ireland Football Title with Cork

2014-08-30 Chloé Collins - Cork are All Ireland U16 Ladies Footall ChampionsA huge congratulations to Chloé Collins and the Cork Ladies U16 ‘A’ Footballers who were crowned All Ireland Champions today in Templemore, Co. Tpperary after they beat Dublin on a scoreline of:

Cork 4-7 Dublin 2-7

Chloé is a really fantastic player, and  played with the Cork Camogie team this year also, but she was unfortunately injured for the final.

Magnificent Cork colours in evidence at Presentation N.S., Millstreet on Friday, 11th September for the excitng visit of the RTÉ crew filming for “Up for the Match” scheduled to be broadcast on RTÉ 1 television after the 9pm News this Saturday night   The focus for the sequence was on Chloé Collins who superbly recited Jerry Lehane’s Cork/Kerry poem in front of the many enthusiastic pupils in the school playground …
