As the Dust settles on what was the second Event of 2025 for Blackwater Valley Vintage Group held over in Cullen on Easter Monday last we just want to say a huge Thank You to Everybody from both near and far who came to Support the Event and for your amazing Generosity,there was close on 130 Vehicles signed up for the Run which was just fantastic,we are very grateful to each and everyone of you for taking the time out to come and show your support on the day.
For Blackwater Valley Vintage it was an honour and a privilege to be asked by the Fleming Family to host the Event and all we can say is that the Flemings are an absolute pleasure to work with.
It was great to be able to help and support such a great organisation in the Irish Kidney Association and the great work they do and that is what this excercise was all about and the proceeds from the Event will be of great benefit to the people who are looked after by such a fantastic Organisation.
Willie Fitzgerald headed the operation of the Car Run and Willie would like to acknowledge all the help given on both the lead up to the Event and on the day itself,Willie would also like to thank Cullen Community Centre for the use of such a fantastic facility to base the Event out of and for the hardworking catering crew who looked after us so well with top class food and hospitality which they very kindly sponsored and supplied free of charge,to An Garda Siochana we thank you for your assistance in keeping the Event progress smoothly and safely on the road and to our fantastic Bike Marshalls Anthony and Steve and all the Marshalls out on the Route we could not have done this without your help,to the hardworking Sign on Crew who kept the paperwork all in order thanks for your help, a big thanks as well to Sheila Fitzgerald and John Tarrant and The Corkman and to the Crew at Discover Duhallow Magazine for there coverage and support and to all the Photographers and Video people who came out on the day we thank you for your attendance and publicity of the days proceedings,to Vy Ha and Mahilet O’Leary for there lovely Harp Playing in Cullen before the start of the Event,also thanks to Cullen Pipe Band for there presence before the start and to Sheila Fitzgerald for giving us great Entertainment at the Finish in Kanturk Golf Club,also a big shout out must go to all the Sponsors of Spot Prizes for the Event,we are very grateful for your Support and Generosity.
Overall the Weather behaved itself and we hope you all had a great day out and we look forward to having your Company again very soon.

The Blackwater Valley Vintage Group Crew recently held an Event Launch and Photo Shoot opportunity to officially Launch the Groups second Event of the Year which is a Vintage Car Run in aid of a great Cause in the Irish Kidney Association which takes place on next Easter Monday April 21st.
The Launch which took place with a fantastic backdrop of the Blackwater being the centre piece of the Photo Shoot which was photographed by our own Seán Radley had some of the Group Members and there Vintage Cars on Display along with the beautiful Blue Mark 2 Ford Escort which was brought along to the Launch by Marie Fleming from Cullen, the Fleming Family are great supporters and advocates of the Irish Kidney Association and Blackwater Valley Vintage are delighted to be associated with such a wonderful Charity and Family.

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group would like to thank everyone for there generous support at our Vintage Tractor Run held last Sunday in Aubane, €1452.94 was the Final Total from the Event, this funding will be used to finance our Running Costs for the year ahead.
When we set up the Group in July 2024 the start up costs and insurance cover back then was covered by our 10 Group Members for the 2024 period,with this it was decided going forward to do our first Event of this year primarily to fund our Insurance cover for 2025, along with other expenses,we thank each and everyone of you for your generous support which puts us in a good footing for the year ahead.
Blackwater Valley Vintage Group will also make a donation to a Charity of its choice which will be announced in due course,and we look forward to seeing you all at our Events for 2025.
Blackwater Valley Vintage Group had a super turnout last Sunday over in Aubane with great support by each and every one of you who turned out for what was a great day out,we had close on 50 fantastic Vintage Tractors partake in our First Event for 2025 and special mention must go to the Crew in Aubane who looked after us so well as with fantastic hospitality and a great Venue as always,we would also like to thank Super Valu in Millstreet who sponsored the food for the Event and a big shout out as well to all our Sponsors who gave spot prizes for our Draw and to all the Crew at Healys Bar Kilcorney who looked after us so well, to all the Marshalls that took time out to help us along the Route today and to everyone that helped out a big thanks to each and everyone of you, its much appreciated and finally to the Photographers and Videoograpers and Media People who covered the Event we thank you for your support and for making the Trip to our Event last Sunday,we look forward to seeing you all again very soon 👍👍👌👌🚗🚗🚜🚜

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group will kick off there 2025 Campaign of Vintage Events starting out with a Vintage Tractor Run on next Sunday March 30th,the group which was formed in July of 2024 plan on holding five events for the coming year and the Group are looking forward to meeting you in the year ahead.
The Vintage Tractor Run happening next Sunday is for PRE 1995 Models with Sign On at Aubane Community Centre Eircode (P51 EP49) where Refreshments will be available from 10.30am with Take Off at 12.30pm,a nice Scenic 18 Km Route is promised with the event finishing at Healys Bar Kilcorney for Food and Refreshments with Music and Song by Peter Lane.
In July 2024 a Group of Friends and Vintage Enthusiasts took on the challenge of setting up a new Vintage Group in the North Cork Region,this Group comprising of 10 People brought with them to the table different skill sets and ideas along with many years experience between them being involved in Vintage Events which when combined brought about the formation of Blackwater Valley Vintage Group.
What followed was a busy 3 week period in which the newly formed Group got together a plan to organise an Event which took place on Sunday August 18th,the Vintage Car and Tractor Run which was held in aid of the Alzheimers Society of Ireland was ran out of Aubane Community Centre just outside Millstreet and had a great Turnout of over 100 Entries on the day, it was an outstanding sucess on the Groups debut.
Just over a month later the Groups Lady Members went on to organise a Vintage Car Run which was held on Saturday September 21st again out of Aubane Community Centre with the beneficiary being Cullen and District Special Needs Association with again a great Turnout.
Blackwater Valley Vintage Group plan a number of Events in 2025 starting with a Vintage Tractor Run on Sunday March 30th and the newly formed Group would like to thank everyone who came along to support us on our first 2 Events and to everyone who sent us best wishes on our new venture and if you want anymore information do check out our Facebook and Instagram Social Media Feeds or give us a Call on 087 7924406.

Blackwater Valley Vintage Group had the pleasure of handing over a Cheque for €1123.90 to Cullen and District Special Needs Association following the Blackwater Valley Vintage Group Ladies Car Run held back on September 21st last,we were delighted to be associated with such a great Group who do absolutely fantastic work in the North Cork Region,the Cheque Presentation took place on Saturday Afternoon December 7th at Cullen Community Centre where Cullen and District Special Needs Association held there Annual Christmas Party in what was a most welcoming and enjoyable occasion we thank our Group Member Sean Radley for the Photos 📸📸
On Friday, 29th Nov. 2024 members of the Blackwater Valley Vintage Group presented a wonderfully impressive cheque of €4,521.60 to Nurse Manager, Lena O’Sullivan of the Mallow Centre of the Alzheimer Society of Ireland. This was the result of a superbly successful Vintage Tractor and Car Run earlier this year beginning at Aubane Community Centre and concluding at The Pub in Carriganima. The Coordinator Supreme of the memorable event in aid of such a praiseworthy cause was Luke Hurley enthusiastically supported by a very dedicated Team. The Blackwater Valley Vintage Group Ladies namely Mairead,Ita and Breeda would like to thank Everyone for there support and help on Saturday in the recently formed Vintage Groups second ever Event which was the Car Run organised by the 3 Ladies for Cullen and District Special Needs Association based out of Aubane Community Centre,we had 55 entries on the day and we thank you all for making the Trip,the Weather was perfect and a lovely Route awaited People which passed through places like Moll Carthys Bridge,Mount Hillery,Gortroe,Bweeng before making its way to the Farm in Grenagh where we were so well looked after with Food and Refreshments and Entertainment supplied by Sheila Fitzgerald,also we would like to thank the Outstanding Crew in Aubane who once again looked after everyone so well and provide us with a top class venue as a meeting point,to Vy Ha and Mahilet O’Leary for there lovely Harp Playing in Aubane,thank you very much,also we want to thank the dedicated Bike Marshalls,Marshalls on the Roadside,Sign On Crew,Arrowing Crew and An Garda Siochana for keeping the Event flowing so well,a big shout out as well to the Media and Photographers who promoted the Event on the day and on the Run up to it and to the People who gave Spot Prizes we thank you for your support.
We look forward to our next Event and your Company very soon.

A Presentation was made last Friday Evening September 13th at Aubane Community Centre by Blackwater Valley Vintage Group to The Alzheimer Society of Ireland where the Groups Representative Lena O’Sullivan from St Marys Day Care Centre Mallow accepted a Cheque for €4,471.60 following the Recent Car and Tractor Run which was Blackwater Valley Vintage Groups very first Event,Organiser Luke Hurley and Members of the newly formed Vintage Group
were on hand to make the Presentation and The Alzheimer Society of Ireland Representatives thanked everyone that supported the Event back in August 18th last and said the financial support gained from the Event will be of great benefit to the Groups Work.
As a group Blackwater Valley Vintage Group would like to thank Everyone for there help and support on what was the debut Event for the Group and were delighted to be working and able to help out a great Organisation in the Alzheimers Society of Ireland.
