Margaret Crean to be interviewed on Ireland AM

Margaret Crean, Dromsicane will be interviewed by Derek O’Hartigan on Ireland AM this Wednesday sometime between 8 and 9 am  on the service and benefits of Therapeutic Hand Care.  Margaret is the team leader of the local Irish Red Cross Therapeutic Hand Care team.

What is Therapeutic Hand Care?

Therapeutic Hand Care involves gentle hand massage and manicure treatments delivered by trained volunteers.

  • The massage helps ease stiffness, reduce discomfort, and improve flexibility and suppleness.
  • The manicure can boost morale, especially for those who may have lost interest in their appearance during illness.
  • Most importantly, the service offers time, care, and human connection through touch.

The team provides this service weekly in the Millstreet Hospital, Day Care Centres and local events.
