Millstreet Church Choir featured on Radio Kerry’s “Horizons” broadcast this Sunday Morning (1st March 2026) at 9.00 a.m.. The broadcast was truly superb during which Coordinator Edel Fraser was interviewed by Presenter David Sheehan. The feature was recently recorded at St. Patrick’s Church, Millstreet. The death has occurred of Betty (Beth) Goggin, Bolomore, Rathcoole, Co. Cork.
Peacefully on February 28th in Marymount Hospice after a short illness bravely borne, Betty (Beth); Pre-deceased by her sister Hannah-Marie (Hinchion) and brother Seán Goggin. Beth will be fondly remembered by her sisters Maura (O’Brien), Teresa (Gully), Nonie (Smart), Eileen (Garlick) and Sr Josephine.
Deeply regretted by her family, her sister in law Maureen, brother in law Ray, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, great grand-nephews and great grand-nieces, cousins, relatives, very kind neighbours and many friends.
May she rest in peace
Lying in repose in McCarthy’s Funeral Home, Banteer on Monday 2nd March from 6.30pm to 8 pm followed by removal to St. John’s Church, Dromagh (P51 YWF1). Funeral Mass on Tuesday 3rd March at 11am which can be viewed live on http://www.mycondolences.ie Burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Millstreet.

A Wallet with its contents including cards has recently been found in the Murphy’s Terrace area of Millstreet. It has been delivered to the postbox of Millstreet Garda Station.

A pair of walking poles beside the footpath on Clara Road, Millstreet were recently found. The Finder put them on the nearby wall but when checked the following day they were still there so the Finder brought them home for safe keeping.
