The death has occurred of Helena (Lena) Kelleher (née O’Riordan),  Church Street, Millstreet, Co. Cork / Clondrohid, Co. Cork.

Church St, Millstreet, Co. Cork & formerly Ballymacorcoran, Clondrohid, Co. Cork.

Lena passed away peacefully on Wednesday 24th December 2025, in the presence of her loving family in Nazareth House, Dromahane, Mallow.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Denny, her daughter Ann, her brother and sisters and her great grandson Cathal.

Loving mother of Mary (Vaughan), Jimmy, Dan, Denny, Margaret (Harrington), and Susan (Twomey), sons-in-law Dan, Denny and Anthony, daughters in law Anne and Fiona. Sadly missed by her adored grandchildren, great grandchildren and relatives, especially Bridget.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

Reposing at the Chapel in Nazareth House, Dromahane, P51 T889 on Sunday 28th December from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.

Funeral Mass on Monday 29th December at 11am at the Chapel in Nazareth House followed by burial at Clondrohid Cemetery.

Lena’s family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Nazareth House for the wonderful care of their dear Mam.

Outstanding Mushera Christmas Day 2025 Climb

Blessed with glorious bright crisp weather the annual Mushera Climb took place on Christmas Morning 2025 in aid this year of the ongoing costs of Aubane Community Centre.   It was my first year in decades attending this most impressive event when around one hundred energetic climbing  enthusiasts complete the challenging task.   The views are quite spectacular as the fog lifts revealing magnificent panoramic views.  Back to Millstreet in time for 11.30am Mass celebrated by Fr. Billy Radley and joined by Canon John Fitzgerald, P.P. we listen to the superb Choir enhancing the ceremony.   Here we share a selection of images from Christmas Day 2025 at Mushera and in Millstreet.   Tap on the images to enlarge.  (S.R.)
