The death has occurred of Bernie O’Rahilly (née Murphy),  Kilmacrane, Banteer, Co. Cork.

O’Rahilly; (Banteer). The death has occurred of Bernie O’Rahilly (née Murphy), Kilmacrane, Banteer on June 3rd 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Sadly missed by her husband Dave, daughters Laura and Tina, and son David, sons-in-law Anthony (Bourke) and Paudie (Bourke), daughter-in-law Martina (Collins) and her beloved grandchildren Eoghan, Eve, Emma, Oliver and Ella, her brother, sisters, uncle, sisters-in-law and extended family and friends.

May she rest in peace

A private funeral and cremation has taken place at the Island Crematorium in order for Bernie to return home to her much loved family. Messages of sympathy for the family may be left via the link here.

Millstreet Library – Cruinniú na nÓg – Event for 9 – 12 year olds

To celebrate Cruinniú na nÓg on Saturday 7th June, Millstreet Library are hosting a workshop for 9 – 12-year-olds in Millstreet Library at 2 30 pm – 4 00 pm.

It is a Drypoint workshop, which is a printmaking technique in which an image is incised into a metal plate or acetate with a hard pointed needle. These scratches on the surface hold ink and can be printed onto paper using a printing press.

There are still places available!  If you are in the area and would like to join us, we would love to see you there.

Acknowledgement and First Anniversary.

On the occasion of Nora’s first anniversary, her family would like to acknowledge the
many gestures of kindness and sympathy shown to us throughout Nora’s funeral.
A sincere word of thanks to Canon John Fitzgerald PP, Millstreet, who concelebrated
Nora’s mass. Thanks to Sharon for her great assistance and Julie.
Thank you to Jerry Doody and the organist for their beautiful music in the church.
To Davy, Declan, Cora, at Tarrant’s Undertakers, we are most grateful for their
professionalism and personal touch.
A special thanks to our wonderful neighbours, relatives, and friends who supported
us at this difficult time and to all who travelled long distances to be with us to share in
our grief. To all who brought food to our home, sent cards, letters, floral tributes and
online condolences.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this
acknowledgement as an expression of our thanks and appreciation.
