Opening of Magnificent New Extension at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital, Millstreet

We extend sincere thanks to Geraldine Murphy, Interim Director of Nursing at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital, Millstreet for very kindly sharing the following uplifting message together with some 24 colourful images.  Tap on the pictures to enlarge.  (S.R.)

“The 26th May 2025 marked a significant  milestone in the life of our Hospital……the opening of our New Extension.

This moment represents more than bricks and mortar……it is a symbol of our growth, commitment and dedication to serving this community and the surrounding area. The extension means single ensuite rooms for our residents, including large sitting /dining room  with  safe outdoor area where they can enjoy the view of Clara mountain.

As the person in charge I would like to thank the Estates team,  the Contractors, Senior management, past and current Staff, Friends of Millstreet Hospital  and all who have made this possible.

Your efforts have directly contributed to something that will have a truly lasting positive impact for years to come.   The following selection of very special photos record the Official Transfer on the wonderfully memorable day….Monday, 26th May 2025.” [read more …] “Opening of Magnificent New Extension at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital, Millstreet”
