Steve Dillon Coomlogane – First Anniversary and Acknowledgement

Steve Dillon
Coomlogane, Millstreet, Co. Cork
who passed away on April 20th 2024
As we mark Steve’s first anniversary, we remember him with love and deep affection. Though we miss him dearly, we’re comforted by the incredible kindness and support we received following his passing. Thank you to everyone, family, friends, and neighbours, who reached out — whether through condolences, calls, visits with kind offerings of food, Mass cards, enrolments, messages, online tributes, or donations to Marymount — it all meant so much.
We’re especially grateful to everyone who cared for Steve throughout his illness. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Bertie Daly, Dr. Zealie Gaffney, and all the team at Áth Trasna Medical Centre. A special word of thanks to Steve’s friend and former student, Bertie, whose support and friendship meant the world to him and to us.
Our sincere thanks also go to Tom Mulcahy and the team at Mulcahy’s Pharmacy in Millstreet for their kindness and help.
We also wish to acknowledge the compassionate care provided by the district nurses, Marymount staff and, in particular, our dear friend Maria Kelleher. They provided so much help, support, and kindness to Steve and his family in his final days at home.
We would like to thank Cannon John Fitzgerald and Fr. Seamus Kennelly for celebrating Steve’s Funeral Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, and also Sharon Lane and Julie Brady for their valued assistance. Our thanks also to Edel Frazer and Millstreet choir members for the beautiful music, which added such grace to the service.
We are most grateful to Davy, Declan, Cora, and all at Tarrant’s Undertakers for their professionalism, compassion, and respectful handling of the arrangements.
While it’s not possible to thank everyone personally, please know how grateful we are. Your kindness and support will always be remembered. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
With heartfelt thanks,
Steve’s family.
