What do we do?

Our mission is to save lives through our network of Volunteer Emergency Medical Responders and First Responders. We are ordinary people from different backgrounds and jobs, just like you.

Where do we cover?

Millstreet, Cullen, Knocknagree, Ballydesmond, Kiskeam, Boherbue, Dromtarriffe, Rathcool, Banteer, Carriganima, Ballydaly, Rathmore and the surrounding townlands.

Who are we?

Our team of First Responders live in your communities. We are your neighbours, and your friends. We are the people who will respond when people in our community require immediate help in emergencies, in conjunction with the National Ambulance Service.

Who sends us?

We are automatically dispatched by ambulance control when a call occurs in our locality. We are there to provide emergency care until the ambulance can get to you. We only respond to certain calls, such as Chest Pain, Stroke, and Cardiac Arrest.

Join Our Team

Critical Blackwater First Responders are always seeking interested, compassionate individuals who are willing and able to commit their time and skills to this life-saving cause.

Whether you are a medical professional or simply someone with a passion for helping others, we would love to hear from you. We also need individuals who can help co-ordinate our teams, assist in fundraising efforts, and help raise awareness of our cause. Regardless of your background or skill set, if you have desire to make a difference and time to spare, Blackwater First Responders would be the perfect organisation for you!
