Dan Joe Kelleher and the incredible TV station he set up in 1980s’ Co Cork

The rooms of LTV’s Dan Joe Kelleher home in Carriganima are a floor-to-ceiling walk-in library bursting with VHS tapes and DVDs of concerts and community commemorations. We are lucky to have his foresight to record  and store a snapshot of our local area for posterity.

In an article in today’s Irish Examiner, he is interviewed on how he started, how he built it up, and how changing formats of media worried him that his archive was becoming obsolete, and how he has for some time been committing his vast archive of recordings  to the internet for an invaluable record of the era from the 1970s to present day.
