Millstreet Vintage Club and Event Organiser Donie Lucey would like to thank Everyone that took part in the Circuit of Ireland Stages Revisited Run on Sunday last, the 3rd Running of the Event was the biggest to date with an astounding 110 Cars attending the Event, proceedings got underway from the Wallis Arms Hotel just after 12 Noon from where the Cars made there way through some Classic Circuit of Ireland Stages like Gortnagane which was then followed by a Pitstop at O’Brien’s Shop Glenflesk, after this Break the Run headed on to Ballyvourney to tackle the Mullaghanish Stage before proceeding on to drive the Mushera Stage before heading back to Millstreet for the Finish, participants enjoyed some great Scenery on the Cork/Kerry Border on Stages all used on the Circuit of Ireland in years gone by, favourable Weather conditions made for a most beautiful drive on some stunning Roads.

Millstreet Pipe Band

“Millstreet Pipe Band have set up a fundraiser via a gofundme page.
The band was formed in 1951 & it was their 70th Anniversary in 2021. 2021 was also a momentous year for the pipe band – They got new uniforms & band equipment. They received substantial funding for this endeavour from IRD Duhallow which was greatly appreciated. However this was 64% of the total cost so there was a shortfall between funding received & the total cost to the band. To help defray this 36% shortfall plus the lack of Church Gate Collections for two years due to Covid, they are asking the public for donations, large or small, to their gofundme page. (Link below) https://www.gofundme.com/f/dujudn-millstreet-pipe-band-fundraiser?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1
Alternatively donations may also be given to Marie Twomey, Theresa Cleary, Gillian McCarthy or any Millstreet Pipe Band Member.”
