Thought for the week ahead
Christianity is not merely belief.
It is the practice of that belief by active charity. (Frank Duff)Saturday 21st November celebrates the feast day for the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and celebrates when Mary was asked to be the mother of the Jesus. Her response, “Let it be done to me,” was a great act of faith as she placed her whole self at the service of God.
This weekend we say a special prayer for mothers everywhere and ask the Blessed Virgin Mary to protect them and guide them in these challenging times.
As a mark of respect to the sisters of the Presentation Order a wreath was laid in the Presentation Cemetery by the Girls National School and the Community School in recognition of the service the sisters have given to our Parish. [read more …] “Millstreet Parish Newsletter 22nd November 2020”
