To the great joy of so many Tubrid Holy Well – Centre of Prayer and Haven of Peace – will reopen to the public from 6pm this Sunday, 7th June 2020. We thank James O’Sullivan on whose land Tubrid is located for this uplifting update. James emphasises that the usual COVID-19 safety measures are expected to be observed by Visitors to the Holy Well. St. Brendans N.S., Rathcoole are delighted with the news this week that they have been awarded their 4th Green Flag for Sustainable Travel.
The school has been working for the past two years towards this award, but unfortunately their final event had to be cancelled when schools closed. Instead, pupils from Rathcoole got on their bikes or went on a hike over the past few weeks and headed out to photograph their picturesque “2km Zone” nestled between the foothills of Mushera and the banks of the Blackwater.

The team at Green-Schools headquarters were very impressed with the application, and extend their thanks to everyone in the school. The Green-Schools committee and the whole school community deserve a huge amount of credit for their efforts – well done on your 4th Green Flag!
