This year our St.Patrick’s Day parade will start with the Vintage Club leading out at 4.45pm and then with the very best of local talent and spirit.

We ask all participants to gather at 4pm at the Green Glens Arena entrance on Station Road.

Sheila O’Connell, Murphy’s Terrace

The death has occurred of Sheila O’Connell, Murphy’s Tce., Millstreet. On 19th of February, passed away unexpectedly at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Deeply regretted by her husband Dan Joe (Barney), daughter Sheila, sons John, Donal and Richie, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchild, relatives, neighbours and friends. “May she rest in Peace”.
Lying in Repose at her residence on Thursday evening from 6pm to 8pm. Reception into St Patrick’s Church, Millstreet on Friday for 12 Noon Mass, burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Millstreet. Family flowers only please donations if desired to CUH. [rip]

Very Successful “Sing Along” Event Most Enjoyable

The regular “Sing Along” event at Millstreet Day Care Centre this Wednesday (19th Feb. 2020) evening was most enjoyable and a true credit to Helen, Petra and their dedicated Team.   In a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere and with the aid of background music everyone participated in the group singing and we also had some uplifting individual presentations.   Splendid refreshments were provided at half-time.   Everyone is very welcome and we would encourage attendance at the next event.   Here we share some 7 images to illustrate the relaxed setting and atmosphere.  Numbers attending were influenced this evening by the coinciding of two other events elsewhere.  Tap on the pictures to enlarge.  (S.R.)
