Léacht phoiblí a bheidh ar siúl Dé Sathairn 24 Lúnasa ag 11am / Public talk on The Disused School Houses of Ireland – Saturday, August 24th at 11am.

A talk on disused school houses of Ireland by Enda O’Flaherty, author of ‘The Deserted School Houses of Ireland’. The theme of the talk will be revisiting memory and place: Memory is dynamic and fluid – a pulsing living thing. It can be stretched, coveted, erased and manipulated by the individual, the environment and the circumstances from which it is recalled. The tumbling buildings featured in this talk and exhibition were once working schools where early childhood memories were formed.
