“Radio Treasures” Visits Cullen Vintage Event 2018 & Meets Christy Costello

On this evening’s “Radio Treasures” we visit the recent Cullen Vintage Event 2018 where we recorded a truly interesting interview with Christy Costello from the Listowel area of Kerry.   This we shall broadcast at 10pm on Cork Music Station.  We also feature lots of uplifting songs, music and musings.   And we report on our recent Museum Collection, on recent Visitors to our area, on Show preparations and we review our Listeners’ messages, texts and emails.  Feel most welcome to make contact with us on our Seán Radley Facebook chatline, our text line on 086 825 0074 or our email communication on millstreetmuseum @eircom.net  .  We share below images of our recent visit to Cullen Vintage Event.  Happy listening!  Click on the images to enlarge.  (S.R.)

Eily’s Report – 7th August

Dia is Mhuire díobh go léir a chairde and welcome to my Report.

I hope you are all well and happy following the wonderful Bank Holiday weekend. Having spent the days in picturesque Bearra, I can say that the crowds, both from at home and abroad, that were out for their summer break was truly immense. Each to their own choice of amusement, and beautiful weather to enjoy it.

And we have lots more to look foreward to in the coming weeks. Our annual Millstreet Summer Horse Show will run from August 15th to 19th, bringing the cream of Irish bloodstock to our Green Glens. The existing fifteen hundred stabling spaces, on the grounds, had to be increased to cater for the extra entries, that plus the number of local stabling which is provided by people of the area every year, tells its own story. As always admission is free throughout and patrons can come and go at will.
