Millstreet Picture Parade No. 1

Katherine, Lal and Brendan enjoyed a picnic while watching the recent Willie Neenan 5 Mile Road Race passing Drishane Road. (We thank Áine Murphy for this wonderful picture.)
Katherine & Finbarr Hourihane of Skibbereen with the original “Trolly Chair” which featured on the “Late Late Show” in the 1980s. Eily Buckley and I travelled to West Cork to meet with Finbarr who made the chair which featured on “Daniel & Majella’s B&B Road Show” when they visited Eily. Next “Radio Treasures” on Tuesday 10th July from 9:30 until 11:00pm

There is no transmission of “Radio Treasures” on Tuesday 3rd July on www.corkmusicstation.com.   Broadcasts will resume on Tues., 10th July at 9:30pm when we shall feature lots of superb music and song as well as interesting interviews at 10:00pm.  We shall be referring also to recent events such as the recent Circuit of Ireland Rally Stages Revisited where lots of Ford Escorts appeared (as illustrated below) and we shall chat about the June presentation by Joe Kennelly at Millstreet Gramophone Circle (also illustrated here).   The next Gramophone Circle presentation takes place on our national Culture Night on 21st September and will be given by Maurice Linehan.  Click on the images to enlarge.  (S.R.)
