Eily’s Report – 10th October
Dia is mhuire diobh go leir a cairde and welcome to my report. An important notice from the Community Council to say that they are hosting a public meeting at the Wallis Arms Hotel tonight, October 10th to organise the holding of a Parish Talent Competition, to run over the Winter months. Everybody’s ideas will be welcome. Please support it well. The meeting starts at 8pm sharp.
Because of road works in the Glenflesk area of Kerry, road traffic is being diverted through Millstreet, and everybody is warned to be extra vigilant and perhaps expect delays. People driving out on to the road from their homes, must do so with the utmost care, and places around schools etc are also bound to be affected.
The Arts & Crafts Class opened at the Adult Learning Centre, Main Street, last night and over the next six weeks a wide range of hobbies and pastimes will be on the agenda. And those attending are invited to bring along examples of their favourite crafts. All are welcome to take part. It runs each Monday nights from 7-9 and includes a friendly cup o’ tea and bickies.
