Special André Rieu Programme on “Radio Treasures” on Tuesday 19th Sept. at 9:30pm

Lots of uplifting response to last night’s “Radio Treasures” on Cork Music Station (Internet Radio) presented by S.R..   Eamonn Duggan reminded us during the programme of his truly superb feature relating to Gougane Barra in this week’s “Ireland’s Own”.   One of our wonderfully loyal weekly Listeners – Patrick W. O’Leary who usually tunes into the Show from Louisville, Kentucky, USA was this week tuning in from the Wallis Arms Hotel in Millstreet as he is presently taking his annual holiday in Ireland – predominantly in Millstreet.   Next Tuesday’s programme is extra special as it recalls our recent visit to Maastricht in the Netherlands to attend the magnificent Open Air Concert of the renowned André Rieu.   This wonderful package trip was organised by Pádraig O’Driscoll Travel in Macroom.   The photograph below was recorded on the very night in July when we attended the Concert.  It was great to have such close access to the actual stage where André and his Johann Strauss Orchestra performed the magnificent Concert. Tuesday 19th Sept. programme will be broadcast from 9:30 to 11:00 pm on www.corkmusicstation.com

Eily’s Report 12th Sept. 2017

Dia is Muire díobh go léir a chairde and welcome to my weekly report.

The cool winds of Winter are starting to blow and it’s time to bring out some of our winter warmers. But in case we start to complain let us spare a thought for to people in the North west of our country and worse still the thousands of people in America who are battling to survive against mighty hurricanes. Please keep them in your Prayers.

Well done to the people of Carriganima who held their 5k walk/run /cycle on Saturday in aid of both Millstreet & Macroom Hospitals. Over 150 people took part and at journey’s end they enjoyed some welcome refreshments and a social evening at the Pub with Music by local man Peter Lane of Blackwater Sound fame.
