Death Notice: Noel McSweeney, Knocknageeha

On July 29th 2017 peacefully in the loving care of his family and the North Cork Community Palliative Care Team, Noel, predeceased by his mother Hanna-Mary, his father Denis and his brother Dan. Deeply regretted by his brothers Connie, Christy, Michael and Owen, his sisters Eileen and Liz, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunt, nieces, nephews, relatives, kind neighbours and a large circle of friends.
R.I.P.
Reposing at O’Keeffe’s Funeral Home, Rathmore on this Sunday evening (July 30th) from 6pm to 8pm, followed by removal to The Church of the Nativity, Cullen. Requiem Mass on Monday (July 31st) at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Eily’s Report – 1st August

Dia is mhuire diobh go leir a cairde and welcome to my weekly report on this the first day of August.

Tomorrow August 2nd will see the opening of the Annual Millstreet Horse Show, which has been running here since 1979. Again entries are well on par with those of former years, and the stage is set for some very exciting times until next Sunday Aug6th. Admission is free all the way. And all services will be up and running plus free carparking. People here on holidays should not miss out on this opportunity to come and see the wonderful place that the Green Glens  is today . Along with the Eventing centre at Drishane the Complex is now World Class, and capable of staging World Class Events.  Come and see it at your leisure and don’t miss the mighty water wheel in Drishane, which says, The Wheel of Millstreet Keeps on Turning.

Hot on the heels of this show will be, The Millstreet  International Horse Trials will run from August 23-27th.

We wish the Duggan Family and their staff every success ,and fine weather in the days ahead.
